SAC Darwin Awards Entry #2
"He's a fun-time Charlie with his lovely Harley..."
About this creation
Here's the dealio. After posting my first entry for the SAC DA's, I really wanted to make a futuristic interior that included Mark Kelso and a time machine. I did just that, working non-stop for several days, making it to the best of my ability, coming up with the storyline as I built.

Here we are now, totally finished with pictures taken, and I have no desire to put it together as a solid story. SO, I decided to post it as a regular MOC and am posting it right...now. Allow me to apologize ahead of time for the poor presentation and picture quality.

Oh, and judges, you don't necessarily have to count this as a judgable entry if you don't want to, I just wanted to post my work.

-----------------------------------------

Here's a overview of the set-up...

Keep in mind of course, that each of these pictures will include some very odd looking minifig placement and random nonsense. They went along with the former storyline.

The three man-doors each had their own unique back hallway as seen in this picture of the one on the far left.

Oh, and if you're wondering, that brown crate is Kelso's time machine. Yeah...I know.

This mech is what was going to kill our unfortunate sig-Karta figgy...

...as seen in this picture. Aren't these new automatic sliding doors awesome?

Actually, the mech just scared Karta who jumped for the time machine...but the doors were closing.

Yeah...I know.

Well, that's it. Next time I promise I'll have a real (and better) MOC/entry.

Peace out ~JD

JD, I want to add to the comments regarding the quality of the build here, that you've got some nice shots to present it as well. Some of the overhead pics are cool, and that hall shot with the darkened door and lit room beyond...nice. Would love to see what kind of madness you'd come up with for our heros, but in the mean time, I'll just kick back and enjoy this MOC for the quality build that it is!

Quoting Dylan B While I'm here let me take a crack at what your 3rd entree might be... Alright so Kelso and Phipson go into the time machine, Kelso pushes some random button and sends them back to the medieval ages, Phipson then is eaten by an alligator, The End. Right? No? -Dylan
Yes and no. =) An alligator does almost eat somebody, but it's not anybody's sig-fig. And...since Phipson died with the bomb, he won't be in this one. But, it IS castle!! Yeeah!

A very neat build, but I would have loved to see the story...

Just to let you know, I'm not sure if using the abbreviation "SAC" is such a good idea, regardless of it's relevence to the phrase it's used for. It makes way for tons of "That's what she said" jokes. LOL!

Sterling Knight and I came up with a new idea and I was wondering if you wanted to try it. It's on my page. It's called MOCcomparison.

It's a cool room. Looks to me like you already had a story though, enough that you took shots of guys in different poses and whatnot to support it. For whatever reason at the last minute you decided it wasn't good enough to go ahead with. It happens -- to people who set high standards for themselves. Some people just post anything they happen to slap together.

This is a really nice build. There story would have been the icing on the cake, but she is beautiful as she stands. Lee.

Good lookin' area. The doorways look cool. They would look good in a castle too. A guy can't every have too many grills. Better to have too many than not enough. see ya. garth

Really nice job, I mean the actual build part of the MOC is great, the way you used the grill pieces, and the mech, All great. I'd like to see a little more jokes, and things in the next one though, can't wait!

72 hours of anxious waiting and I die like that? Geez, I was getting worried about my demise but not now! I see you opted for my military variant. Seriously, you could have let me drown because I couldn't get the tailgate of a truck down! (That's patented) The set is good though.

You had me at Kelso and a time machine... but this is a really great moc! I would have loved to have seen the story that went with it. Oh well, if you're going to post another entry and it's as good as this one, I'm stoked!~ Chris.

This is far from hideous. Too bad the story didn't pan out -- there's potential mayhem here!
