Here is a replica of a REAL semi. This thing has three jet engines producing 36,000 horsepower, driving it over 370 miles per hour!
About this creation
Admittedly, I overdid the spoiler. I couldn't help myself. But other than that, this is as close to the real one as I could get it. My brother helped a little here and there, he helped me a lot with the jets, it took us over an hour just to build them. Alright, I made two mistakes when building this thing, the first one is: building it in the first place, the second is: using yellow. I SO did not have enough pieces for this thing. Before I finished every yellow and red 2xanything plate was used up. The paint job didn't help that problem any. Here's a 180 spin:
Those two white things on the sides are parachute tubes. Also I put HOG steering on this and you can see the handle between the bottom two jets.
Here's the interior. Its pretty good, but I got cruddy pictures.
Here's a video of it at an airshow, so pardon the aircraft, and make sure you watch it all the way the end, because he has to do a few warm up laps.
Well thanks for visiting and please comment. ~Tterbo Magnesium~
This is very cool! I was once the crew chief for the "SHOCKWAVE" I used to drive the "SUPER SHOCKWAVE" I had to stop by and say Great Job! Ty for showing it off! We appreciate the effort!
Hey Tterbo! Next month, my family and I are going to the Blue Angels Homecoming Airshow, and the Shockwave is going to be there! I hope it's not too windy this year, so they'll actually be able to do a 300+ mph run!
wow, that's huge and as is well-known size matters. But also the detail is great, my only critique would be the spoiler blades that don't exactly fit to what could be seen in the video - but it's still amazing!
Wow, very nice replica! Your MOCs keep improving. You should locate the owner of ShockWave and send them a picture of this! I sure they'd love it! Also, I'm curious where the jets get all of that air: through the front grille? Anyways, great job!
Shame, shame! You commented before I was finished setting up the page! May the fleas of of a thousand camels infest your armpits! I'm kidding, I'm kidding. The page is all finished now, if you want to see the rest of the car.
In response to your comment about the Shockwave: Yes, I've seen it a couple of times, usually in November. I didn't get to see it this past November, because the wind was blowing insanely hard on the runway. Have you ever ridden in a van on a windy day? Imagine doing it at nearly 400 mph! Plus you have to stop with two parachutes, which is also hard to do in the wind. (just remember, I've changed my username)
Now, that's what I'm talking about! The only things I think you could improve are the engines. (they don't look quite long enough) The cab looks perfect, and I like the insanely huge spoiler on the back. Did I mention I live in Pensacola, Florida? Well, every November, we drive out to Pensacola NAS to see the Blue Angels, as well as the Shockwave. Awesome stuff!
not bad at all. a few things however: for starters, the original is much longer, for good reasons. a longer wheelbase is more stable at high speeds. also, your jet engines are just black tubes. you usually excel at details, so why the lacklustre work here? a shame really, and it cost you a legohead. beyond that, nice.
Yeah you're right! I like it so much... Nice work on matching up the colors, I think you're becoming better and better with every new MOC on both build and presentation, so keep in the way of improvements >>> peace.. Fofo
LOL, nice when i first saw the thigs on the side of it i thought it was Smartes Candy sorry it does look like the shock wave but is there really a spasicet kind of truck this is like a peter-built or somthin' just a qeustion but if your trying to get people to look at it i think "tyler reid" would like somthing like this but your building skills really inpress me but my "Typing skills" don't inpress me sorry for spelling so many things wrong any way great jod >MD
