Medium-weight striders are usually worthless, but some of them are dedicated vehicles. They are at least useful.
About this creation
Most mediums are nothing more than wastes of resources to deploy and supply, but there are exceptions to every rule.
In the case of the 'Mediums are useless' rule, the DX-94 is the exception.
It is as fragile and lightly armed as many other medium-weights, but it's limited armament is specialised for it's role, instead of doing everything badly.
The left arm mounts a formidable missile system, capable of shattering infantry units and light vehicles at long range.
It's right mounts a double-barreled particle cannon, slow firing but devastatingly powerful.
The left torso has a gauss rifle with similar capabilities, and a pair of twin-shot short range missile systems round it all off.
It cannot stand up to a short range melee, however, being designed specifically for long range fire support.
Fox pilots wear a light power armour suit, both for protection and to allow them to dismount: the Fox, like many other striders, has no provision for dismounting in the field, requiring a repair bay.
It mounts a large foward canopy to allow the pilot the large field of view needed for the sniping missions usually assigned to it.
Since it is not a front line unit, it does not need to worry about the large target thus supplied to the enemy.
Here's a rather nice photo of the thing.
I am fully aware this is not my best.
I am also fully aware that it looks terrible from behind.
I am aware, however, that from certain angles, it is quite impressive, to say the least.
i must agree with nolan, but in my opinion, i think the mechs quite useful ONLY in support roles. the whole mech looks good but u could try selecting ur pieces and try making it only with 2 or 3 colors. btw im thinking on making a flanker v2, i left there a comment for u, once again, i dont intend to be rude, anyway ur opinion wasnt absolutly wrong, but as i said, there will be a v2

I noticed the ankle joint isn't quite flexible enough to make the feet flat on the ground with its legs spaced apart.[Yup. That's the trouble with click joints.] The shields on the side are an interested idea.[Actually they're pretty standard for me.] You have good ideas, just work on your building.[I know. This one here is basically worthless except for a three-quarters view from slightly above.] Keep it up.[Not much hope of me stopping, that's for sure.]
I have been experimenting with this method of replying to comments recently as it allows less chance of a misunderstanding.
Nice dog-legs. I noticed the ankle joint isn't quite flexible enough to make the feet flat on the ground with its legs spaced apart. The shields on the side are an interested idea. You have good ideas, just work on your building. Keep it up.

Hi there. I heard you've been spamming someone's creations recently. I want that to stop.
I have not. Even if I wanted to, mocpages rating spam no longer works due to the new rating system.

hey, i have had a particularly successful medium mech or 2.
Who said anything about YOUR medium 'mechs'? The topic of the moc is the medium striders of the Zenexabas Empire, which has had very few good encounters with mediums, which do not fit either combat strategy used by the Empire. They are too slow for the fast, slashing hit-and-run tactics favored by the strike strider squadrons, and too lightly armoured and armed for the frontal assault role of the heavier types. That makes them a useless liability.
