Here is my first attempt at creating a Lego microscale ship in real life. At first it was going to be a starfighter but then it eventually turned out to be a ship. I detailed it as best as i could even though im not that great at greebling. This ship here is the USS. IWO JIMA, a Nimitz class battle carrier capable of intergalactic space travel. Its basickly my own design in which took frustraiting hours to build but it was definately worth all the hussel.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. There is going to be a version II of Iwo Jima coming soon now that I got more lego's to build with. ^_^ |

My stepfather was a crew member on the USS Nimitz (the real life aircraft carrier, not your MOC). Still, with that being said, I like your MOC. I guess the US Navy (or would that be labeled the United States Space Force and thus give birth to yet another military branch) is still making space craft into the future, hmm? By the way, out of sheer coincidence, I am currently reading the Thrawn Trilogy right now when I am not working on LEGO. |

Quoting Leo-J A
Very nice! Way to pack that much detail in so little space!
Thanks, the detailing was the hardest part but it was worth the hassle. ^_^ |

Six different kinds of awesome! A very nice design. I've always wondered how to do the sloping sides....
Thanks, all you have to use are the hinges and put them into a small triangl to get the wedged shape. hope this helps. I'm gonna try to post some techniuqes soon. |

I like it very much, you have done a lot better than I have and you certainly pushed the design to its limits. I think I'm gonna make another vesion of this since I got new lego peices to play around with. |

Thanks for your coments guys. Im glad you like the ship. It took a while to build but it was deinfately worth it. The hull design was to make it invulnerable to enemy bombardment. Especially nukes. |

Wow, I really like this. Contrary to what you said, the greebling is great. I love the angled hull, it looks like it could take a pounding. Great work, you should definitely attempt more micro scale ships like this. Peace - Patrick |

I love the design, is it interglactic or interstellar though? because intergalactic is pretty impossible, I think. |

Nice ship. You've packed some great details into there and I love how you got the angled plates. Looks good with that SNOT as well. |
