This is te city gate of Kennemerburg. The entrance to my largest district, district #3. Or in normal language: The historical center.
About this creation
Welcome to the old city gate of Kennemerburg. Back in 1726 when it was built, it was the only gate through the walls of Kennemerburg.


The cross you see here, was added to show off Kennemerburg was a Christian city.


The guard of the right tower, he remains silent until 16:00, when his duty is over.


The other guard. "I should not make him angry, it's loaded!"


This is one of the last remaining pieces of the Kennemerburg wall. This part is now ruined.

The small city gate, built in 1822. Until then, the major city gate was the only entrance to the city.


Other remains of the city walls, these are not even complete anymore.
