VDS Desert Legion-Platoon Combat Truck
VDS now gives the DL-PCT. The Desert Legion-Platoon Combat Truck is a specialized unit that is meant to traverse the vast deserts of Earth, or any other planet. Featuring wheels that have a paddel-like texture, the DL-PCT can 'launch' almost half of the sand that it makes contact with; also, the wheels are set a tad off from each other to provide a larger surface area to support the weight of the unit. Armed with a rotational .30 cal. turret and an additional .30 calibre MG on the right side, the PCT can hold its own. Also, the PCT features a unique angle on the rear 'hull' that provides additional protection to the men inside. The truck is able to take a hit from a medium-packed IED or an RPG, and can keep moving. Often referred to as a 'Diamondback' because of its rear hatch, the PCT can carry six to eight men in the internal 'hull.' 'Diamondback's can carry additional troops on the outside as well.
About this creation

DL-PCT scaled with a Desert Legionnaire.

The DL-PCT is brought to you by UNE "CRUNCH", or Cool and Recreational Unit Neutralizing Coalitional Hooligans. That's right kids, make sure to kill your neighborhood C.O.P scum!

I tried a UH-60 about a year ago with working rotors, but It never got finished. I may try a helicopter soon also, but anyway, I think you working an another heli would look great! I've gotta get working on more projects now, I haven't posted in almost a month...

Quoting Fizzy Poppers Sorry for posting twice, but I just wanted to say that your photography has improved quite a bit since this moc! So I just wanted to give you props for that! :) Also, When I took a careful look at this, I realized that it looks like a UH-60 Blackhawk with wheels! Anyway, great job, again, and I just love this!
Hmm...A UH-60 on wheels? Never noticed that until now; maybe I'll take a whack at an actual UH-60 next time. ;-D Oh, and I never mind double-posting.

It looks rugged and old, but I like it. The shape is nice, and the details ain't half bad! Anyway, good job, for one of your old mocs, and a great build!

I was thinking of revising this concept in a more neutral color; most likely dark bley. Even so, I think I've learned a few more techniques and I think I can rework this into a much more clean and effective look, but still hold the rugged combat look. We'll see what the future brings after my two current projects.

Well, mine is a box with wheels. Getting more efficient carrying capacity without subspace storage or anti-physics fields is impossible. This thing looks far better, though. Especially the rear-sides.

Quoting Clan Father Tom Olivieri: S.C. Awesome! This has to be your best work yet! I really love the shape! Sorry I haven't been on as of late, my computer has been really slow. It seems to be working fine now though, so I should be back to my normal routine. Anyway, great job, can't wait to see more!
Totally understand the computer thing, and it's good to hear from you. Well, if you can't wait to see more, then you'll only have to wait 'til Saturday for another of my better MOCs [OCI Advanced Battle Tank].

That is one kick-arse truck. Excellent colors, some cool angles and details, and an overall cool looking design. Good work!
