When one thinks of an island, a picture of white, sandy beaches, along sparkling water, full of beautiful girls usually comes to mind. However, an Island can be the complete opposite of paradise. It can be the
loneliest place on Earth....This is a moc about the everyday life of a man stranded on an island for many months.
About this creation
The Islander in his shelter. Seaweed was spread on the ground to prevent bug bites. It also provides a softer surface.
The Islander has cleared a section of grass under a palm tree and put a small fire. This fire is the sole key to his survival: it keeps him warm and cooks his food.
This is his boat, another reason he is still alive after all these months. using his boat, he goes out to sea (not far from shore) and fishes with his spear.
He aims the spear at the water.
Without warning, he jabs the sharp spear into the water. A small ripple is sent out.
Success! Using his spear, the Islander manages to catch a fish. Dinner.
Using a piece of driftwood from the Ocean, he sticks the Fish and begins to cook it. He cooks it until light brown to prevent any sort of bacteria.
After cooking his Fish for an hour, the Islander sits down and eats his catch. It's not much, but knowing that he will go to sleep full is satisfying enough.
Overview shot. I added a skull in there, as well as a red snake. Just felt like it belonged. By far the most difficult part of this moc was adding all of the grass, it took forever. The hut was also complicated, by I think it turned out well.

-Well, I hope you guys enjoyed this moc. It was one of those 20 minute mocs that I often do. Most of them aren't good enough to be uploaded, but I immediately fell in love with this moc. (Mainly because of the pictures. I think they are my best photo work yet!)
-This was inspired by a story we read in school yesterday, about an islander lost at sea. After a storm destroys his ship, and he narrowly escapes in a life boat, he finds an island, and undergoes hardships.
-For all of you critics out there: yes, the "water" isn't lego, but I don't have nearly as much blue plates as some other people on this site. However, I like how everything turned out here.

Well, probably a good way to impress fed is making custom made mini-figs, and comics are good way too. But they have to be good quality mocs because if you got a phase 2 clone and covered it with sharpie then it wouldn't really impress Fed at all! But I would recommend mini-figs if you get good paint and put it on you figs neatly then they should turn out great! So I hope that answers your question, and I look forward to seeing some great Mocs from you in the future so keep it up! |

I agree with yah tom, the picture job is very good. As for the rest of the moc, not bad for a 20 min. moc. It' would have been cooler with lego water but I understand when you have your limits on supplies. all in all nice 20 min. moc. ~CTF |
