Flitterfly
An Ornithopter based on a butterfly.
About this creation
Built by only the finest and most experienced craftsmen the Flitterfly is believed to be based on an ancient Elven design. Not a true ornithopter because it gains forward momentum from the propeller at the rear, rather then just from the motion of its wings the Flitterfy is nevertheless a remarkable machine. Many hope that one day the Elves will return and we can ask the how they came up with such marvels.

Built in April 2008 - there are quite a few bionicle elements if you can't figure out what this is made of!

Very cool, you got very weel the "elven feel". Clever landing gear, I never saw this bionicle arms... I have to buy some, seems they are very useful :)

The wings are so creative. Cutos to you for that idea. And the overall desing is great. Also the sheilds are a good little detail.-George P.S. When you get the chance check out my new creation. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/99737

Hey Mark, always a pleasure to see creations from you. I love the use of bionicle parts, and I can guess at which sets you have been designing! Don't believe I've ever seen a Lego ornithoper before, so this sets a pretty high bar.
