An Ornithopter based on a butterfly.
About this creation
Built by only the finest and most experienced craftsmen the Flitterfly is believed to be based on an ancient Elven design. Not a true ornithopter because it gains forward momentum from the propeller at the rear, rather then just from the motion of its wings the Flitterfy is nevertheless a remarkable machine. Many hope that one day the Elves will return and we can ask the how they came up with such marvels.
Built in April 2008 - there are quite a few bionicle elements if you can't figure out what this is made of!

The wings are so creative. Cutos to you for that idea. And the overall desing is great. Also the sheilds are a good little detail.-George
P.S. When you get the chance check out my new creation.

Hey Mark, always a pleasure to see creations from you. I love the use of bionicle parts, and I can guess at which sets you have been designing! Don't believe I've ever seen a Lego ornithoper before, so this sets a pretty high bar. |
