Brian Kescenovitz recently gave permission for Dawn Forge creations in space. While I am not a very good microspace builder, the idea has always intrigued me. So here is my attempt at Dawn Forge microspace.
This carrier is quite small; it carries six fighters and two bombers and is only armed with two flak cannons, but it still gets the job done.
How did I do on the engines? I didn't want to use wheels, but I'm new at building anything else. (They are on the left and below the entrance to the hangar)
No fancy force fields keeping the air in here; large metal plates cover the exit and entrance to the hangar.
I tried to mimic real aircraft carriers while building this; fighters return through the back of the ship, instead of going back the way they came like in Star Wars.
Off to the side is the elevator leading to the lower deck where the fighters are stored. The bombers are too large, so they stay in the main hangar.
Some great details on this one, Luke. Personally, I think I would have made the whole thing a bit more elongated, but hey, variety is the spice of life. I love the pass through hangar and the little elevator detail...well done.
