While you are here, if you see anything that I've built be sure and check out Ishii Castle, which I consider to be one of my personal best. It should, by rights, be the top creation on my page, but the 'likes' blackout crippled it.
If you see two things, check out Smaug the Magnificent which is currently giving Ishii Castle a run for its money as my top creation.

Greetings fellow bricksters! Welcome to my MOC page. I'm an AFOL, an economist, and an eternal kid at heart.
I am new to blogging, but I'm excited to have a forum in which to share my lego creations, rather that just let them gather dust until I decide to dismantle them. Now I wish I had more pictures of my old projects!
I used to use megablocks, legos, tyco blocks (from way back), chinese knock off bricks, etc. Now days, since my girls are just old enough to choke on my legos, I build almost exclusively with LDD. Sorry to any purists out there. LDD has opened new territory for me, and I like the things that I can do with scale and color which traditional bricks don't allow. Too bad it doesn't let you do fun stuff like lay bricks on top of each other, use angled pieces easily, or customize minifigs.
Recently, I decided to add an acknowledgements section to each of my creations where I borrow techniques or ideas from others. This should encourage cross creation visibility, prevent plagiarism, and build popularity for those builds which I most admire. I would encourage all builders to do something similar.
I've been playing with legos for as long as I can remember, but ever since I discovered MOC I've been inspired to all new levels of quality and possibility. Now I just wish I had more time and money to devote to construction!
I hope you enjoy my creations.
Also, my nephew Ben has recently joined MOCpages, he is definitely advancing well in his techniques and his creations are quite cool. You can see his work here.

Upcoming projects:
  • I would like to continue my experiments with Dragons. In case it hasn't become apparent yet, Nyeba was the aspect of Air, Zemlya was the aspect of Earth, and there are more elements yet to be discovered...
  • A European style sailing ship that uses some of the organic hull design techniques from Nihon Maru
  • Some new models that will test my skill at landscaping and waterfalls
  • Some non-traditional castles
  • At some point I would love to branch out more in to sci-fi stuff, but it is such a well represented genre on the pages that I have a hard time thinking of anything original to do.
