I'm one of the relatively few danes on this Lego site.
When I was a kid I was always building with my Legobricks.
but as the story usually goes I stopped when I reached my teens.
And so...
Now in my thirties I was surfing the web and typed Lego!
And saw MOCpages.
I thought I was good at building, but was blown away by the builds here. I design in LDD, as my current collection of bricks is far from impressive.
And more important I find that, for now, the freedom to choose from the limitless virtual box of bricks has a remarkable impact on my learning. When you can use any brick there is no excuse.
I always have a ship project underway the last was designing a 4th rate Ship of the Line of the HMS Portland-class. This was a huge project, so now I´m pending between different current and future projects:
-Turning the HDMS Lougen in to a real build
This is actually happening during the next couple of weeks.
Because there is a lot of unsertainty about the success of this project, I have decided to build the Heinkel 111 as well.
Something has to be posted in february as it is my 1 year anniversary on mocpages!!!
-My new big Mocpages project, making a shipbuilding guide for the aspiring master ship builders of the pages. Admitted there is the selfish purpose of learning a lot myself.
I still have plans to do something about the other projects.
-A 3rd rate Ship of the Line: Ardent or Bellona class.
-The USS Constitution
-A Trireme
-A Galleon
-Undertaking my next series of ships the “Chapman files”
However I suspect the experience of building the HDMS Lougen and the Heinkel 111 in bricks will have some inpact on how these projects will commence.
