My 3 sons have played with Lego forever, I always swept them to the corner, let the vacuum suck them up, or cursed when I stepped on them. The first set I built was just this past summer with my son when he needed a little help completing all of the buildings on Market Street. After researching, bidding on ebay, and enjoying all of the pictures of "MOC's" and "dioramas" I was inspired. I had never heard of a MOC, or a BURP, and I certainly had no idea that all of those sets the kids had everywhere were actually valuable! Now I can't stay off of eBay! (My first experiences with eBay, I ended up bidding on 4 identical castles, not realizing I would win all of them!) Anyone interested in buying a few off of me?
I have over 100 Lego sets that are begging to be built and displayed, and so many more that I want to buy! I'm currently saving $$$ to buy custom kits from lgorlando, my favorite builder! I'm starting on his custom hospital (mid-June), then his Astoria Hotel. Fun, exciting, and a bit intimidating since I'm such a novice.
Although my boys are entering the DARK AGES ( 13 and 16 ) my oldest son has started to make stop motion videos and posts them to youtube. My dream is to create buildings for his movie sets, Lego City, and custom modular buildings in the style of Market Street. I've got ideas for a haunted house, a church, a school, and a hospital, and eventually enter my own creation at a convention.
I could really use advice, assistance, ideas..... by the way, how does one keep all of these Lego pieces organized so that you can find a particular brick when you need one? Where can I buy bulk Lego at an affordable price so that I can build a large house?
I certainly enjoy looking at everyone's pictures, so beautiful, so creative, true works of art!
