I'm a TFOL living in Canberra, Australia, which as it turns out, is a really bad place to be TFOL. I'm looking at a 50% to 100% price increase on just about everything (funnily enough, Pringles are about the same), the nearest Lego store to me is 14 hours away by plane, and postage on Bricklink is simply more than I an afford, so if I need pieces, I need to buy a set that has them.
Most of my time is currently spent on school, followed by Monster Hunter and anime. My religious views (if you must know) are summed up pretty well by the quote "I'm not saying that there isn't a god, just that there doesn't have to be." I can't remember who said that, but I'm fairly sure they're a well-respected physicist. I wouldn't call myself an atheist so much (as that suggests that I outright reject religion) as much a scientist (ie, I view things objectively). I dont outright reject religion, and I largely agree with the philosophy of the character of Jesus, but until you prove otherwise, I'm not about to acknowledge him as anything more than that; a character.
On a similar note, I've noticed that a large portion of MOCpages consists of home-schooled Christians, which makes my question "why is that?" I'd say its because people who are home-schooled have more time, and that America has more lego stores than the rest of the world combined and is largely Christian, but I don't really have any evidence for that...
Also, as a college student (don't even ask. You don't understand Australia's school system, lets just leave it at that), money and time are really scarce. I get about 12 weeks a year that I can build in, and often those weeks are spent on other things. All other 40 weeks of the year are spent on school.
As such, projects from me are few and far between, and I pretty much just build whatever I feel like, with no particular focus. Last time I uploaded something, it was a bio-moc, because I kinda just felt like it. Next time, it'll be a dragon, because I really wanted to build a dragon. For the last year or so (more probably), I've been working on a Chris Roach-style Fall of Cybertron Jetfire, which is a pain, because the transformation sequence doesn't work.
