--Welcome Alteran DriveYards-- This is my site for STARGATE MOCs (insert theme song here). Most of the MOCs are canon with the show however there are a few that I made that are not canon. My featured MOC is my Atlantis Class City-Ship that is basically a big W.I.P that has drastically reduced the space in my room and the amount of pieces I now have, I encourage you to check it out. Current Projects • Atlantis Class CityShip, Currently under some design revision and tower rework. • Alterus Maximus • Aurora Class Starship About Alteran DriveYards Alteran DriveYards is the head in the production of advanced technology ranging from ZPMs to City-ships. The crowning achievement of Alteran Driveyards is the Antinqutias Class Hyperdrive, capable of FTL travel by use of the wormhole drive and Of course Atlantis . Stationed on the Planet New Asuras in the Milky-way. However New Asuras cannot be dialed by just a milky-way or Pegasus gate because we use an internal Stargate network. The only gate that can dial into the New Asuras net work is the Atlantis gate because of a Control Chrystal found on the gate that also allows the Dialing of earth. New Asuras is a planet very close to the galactic core of the milky-way where the Alterans went after the losing the war with the wraith. The Asuran system contains 3 gas giants like jupiter, and 5 other smaller ice/water planets like neptune. New Asuras is half the size of jupiter and the average rotation rate is 4 earth days for one full rotation. while most of the planet was perviously inhabited by race of aliens called the Indarus that were a iron age society that built numerious stone temples and massive briges made of stone spanning over valleys and tunnels passing through mountains. The land scape is dotted with the remianits of this chivilization, most of the planet is now uninhabited except for the occasional outpost or cottage. The largest of the contineats near the northern hemisphere is a vast metropolis. the arctitecture there is much like that found on Atlantis. This conteneat is rougthly 7 times the size of africa and over half of it is covered in snow year round. The culture there is very close to that found on earth with a few exceptions. For instance we wear diffrent clothes and have a diffrent form of goverment, much like an oligarchy with one leader and two lower less powerful advisors. the food we eat is mostly vegatarian with very rich and expensive ingrediants. However even the lowest of social classes can still afford meals that would be fit for a king on earth. Meat is also eaten alot however with most of the planet begin left unihabited by Alterans, the animals grow to be quite large and one animal much like a bull can feed 12 families for three weeks. The main method of transport is by beam satelites in orbit around the planet. They beam you up at beaming stations on the planet once you have selected where you want to go. store you in a molecular buffer and beam you to your destination.
