I am an AFOL with a four-year-old KFOL who has a passion for cars in particular.
I played with LEGO as a kid in the 1970s and early 1980s but most of my friends had more LEGO than I did. Somehow I persuaded the closest neighbor boy that we should combine our collections and keep them at my house. Alas, after nearly 30 years in storage I returned those I could recall being his.
Now I play with my son, almost daily, and it has reawakened the pleasure of building with LEGO. With our combined enthusiasm, his collection is already an order of magnitude larger than mine as a child. In particular I like the design challenge of working with a Creator set to design alternative models--there's less hunting and pecking and more problem solving, both engineering-wise and aesthetically.
I have a background in fine arts and music. I fancy myself an armchair architect but I've yet to design anything that's been built.
