Great SNOT stuff: 10233 Horizon Express
Join to comment
I just downloaded the building instructions for the Horizon Express from shop.lego.com to see how they made the black and white arrow patterns on the sides.

That's really some cool SNOTwork, and there is much more to find on this model. There is even an upside down section on the front made with guide rails.

It's cool to see that for the Expert series the LEGO designers are free to use so many unconventional building techniques! :-))

One more thing: Looking at the building instructions I discovered a new SNOT element.

It's a 2x2 plate with a 1x2 plate on top and 2 studs on the side:

Compared to the usual bracket parts is doesn't have the 1/2 plate offset on the side. Combined with 2 1x1 SNOT bricks you get a perfect 2x2 square on the side.
