YES! I would definitely enter that contest. If you want, I can write up a tentative rule page and send it to whoever is in charge of the contest. I would say that I am fairly good at covering things people would ordinarily have questions on.
*Edit: Here is a tentative rule outline:
Using your Lego pieces, create something from the Star Wars universe (ship, battle scene, vignette, etc.). If you think your creation falls under this category, go ahead and add it. Use your discretion.
It must be a new MOC. MOC's posted anything longer than 3 days (72 hours) before the posted starting date will be disqualified.
You may use up to 50 (fifty) pieces maximum, and there is no minimum. (But we do not want to see a 1x1 flat cylinder that you called a micro-scale Death Star.)
I'm sure everyone knows this, but to cover all of the bases:
No inappropriate scenes. War/battle scenes are fine. Do not use crude, racist, or otherwise general derogatory language in the description of your MOC. Remember, 8 year olds visit this site also. Keep it clean.
Note to Admins:
Should minifigs count as 3 pieces (head, torso assembly, legs) or as 9 pieces (1 head, 1 torso, 2 arms, 2 hands, 2 legs, 1 hip/leg joint)? Permalink
I have created a test contest group, with a list of rules/regulations. I also have invited all of the Admins and Mods if you want to take a look. The only thing left to figure out is good start/end dates. Let me know what you think. (Oh, and maybe prizes.) Permalink
why not just create a new group thats only for contests. Then invite the people that are most active tot eh contest, or whichever way that will work.
Also, sorry for doing this, but would any of you like to be in the Star Wars The Clone Wars story? If you want to, go to this group, join, and read the official rules on how to be part of the story: http://mocpages.com/group.php/15467 Permalink
