Which of the old Pirates set do you own?
Im not sure, but I own one or more set with natives and the armada ship.
My cousin gave me all his lego when he was "too old to play with it" so,I dont have overview over those sets ;)
But you sure have,so post them here!

Although I missed the old Pirates line there is a LEGO store that buys and sells LEGO, so that's where I got my Eldorado Fortress, and yesterday I bought a very cheap Smuggler's Shanty.

I placed only ONE advertisement on a belgium site,
I found a Skull's Eye Schooner, a Red Beard Runner and a caribbean clipper that way.
Some days ago someone contacted me, he wants to sell his Black Seas barracude but he wants 130 euros for it, is it worth that much ?

I honestly don't see what's so great about the old pirates. Maybe my brain just doesn't work right ;)

They are pretty great. I have the huge Imperial ship with the blue and white sails but I lost the brown front piece of the three peice ship. This pretty much means I can't build any Pirate stuff yet. :-(

you mean in comparison with the new pirates ?
I particulary like the old pirate ships, I consider the Skull's eye Schooner as one of the best sets LEGO has ever produced

I think i own about 80 to 90% of the whole classic pirates line, right up to 1997. I was mad about pirates as a kid and used to get every big set for birthdays and xmas, then id get the smaller ones in between with pocket money. When the pirates line ended i got into castle and basicly collected everything i could. Id say im more of a castle guy now, but i pirates is the only other theme i build in. Ive sort of got right back into it now again!

I GOT THE BlackSeas Barracuda for X-mas when it was re-issued, but my reletives didn't communicate very well and so ended up with two. And now I wish that Lego re-introed the rest of the old pirates sets, i wolud have loved to have the Skuls Eyes Scooner.
