Tower of Orthanac's Ent

Have you seen the tower of orthanac set. It is really cool because they added an ent. This ent is really cool, but it looks really similar to my ents I made. Take a look at the similartities

Do you thinks it's a coincidence or they use my design?

Please ask for permission before adding topics. Though I think the set is very neat and I would buy it.(If I had the money)

I think its a coincidence. The joints are similar but otherwise the similarities are the same as on lots of other models.

I think the body proportions (feet and hands) are similar to the model on your second photo, but there are still enough differences so it is really hard to say. I only know that your ents were some of the first Ents on MOCpages and when you search for photos of LEGO ents in the internet your ents are always on the first photos, so maybe they used them for inspiration. We can't say that for sure though.

I think it's mainly a coincidence. Many different Ents have been designed in a similar way to yours and Lego's versions. It could be they saw many versions like this and decided to go with that basic design.
I might be getting the Tower of Orthanc soon and I can't wait to build it all up and look at the Ent in finer detail. :)

Yes, lego does often use techniques that us builders use, but it's like creating a technique just to have someone hating on you giving links to their creations, (which you had never seen before) telling you what a bad person you are and you'd better give credit or else because it's their technique... Just to find out that it wasn't even them who came up with it. It's a technical mess. (Pun intended. :P )
