That cavalry set does look really cool! I really like the (new?) dark blue military hats that they have. Great way to get more cannons too!

The Black gate looks awesome as well. I'm having a really hard time deciding what sets I want to buy. I have a lot of money saved up, but I don't know exactly what sets I want and whether I want to spend it all on LEGO or not. I might get a new iPod. My little brother spilled water on mine. The touch sensors don't work anymore :(

I thought about the Wizard Battle, but since I will buy Orthanc (already have enough for it :D) I don't see much point as there aren't many pieces and Orthanc comes with both minifigs. Though the Palantir with the Eye does look cool.

I also want the Council of Elrond mostly for the exclusive Elrond and Arwen minifigs though I think Boromir or old Gloin would have been a better choice over Arwen.

(Mini-figure compatible robot legs! <3 ) Too small an amount of things I'd like things, so much money to buy them with. Oh wait, Scratch that, reverse it. '~'

That would be nice but unfortunately, most people don't hire five-year-olds. It annoys me that managers aren't willing to let young children have jobs. They have needs and wants! Let them work! I probably won't be getting an iPod from him any time soon :(

That's one reason. They don't want to waste expensive plastic for big and detailful heads/hair pieces. The second reason is that more detailed pieces are easier to make out of rubber.

Yeah...I thought Fili and Kili's hair were made of rubber and that's how the fit the quiver under there but then one of my friends showed it to me and it was actual plastic.

Some.

Gimli is exactly the same, (except his axe)

Frodo has the usual clothing, but he does have a new face, on is angry, and the other is a lot like his standard one.

Elrond has a smiling face and an angry one.

Arwen has a smiling face and an angry one.

They just need a better website layout. How hard is it to take a decent picture of all of their products in all of the different colors?

Also, you can't see all of their swords and a picture of what they look like in a list, you have to click each item separately to see what it looks like.....pretty annoying if you ask me.

I suggest to use a normal minifig arm and add some clay to it, to make it look crippled. Another thing you can try is forming the LEGO arm on the heating.

That's exactly why I ordered the Wizard Sword! It looks almost perfect for Glamdring. Too bad you can't find it :(

I haven't started it yet but I will be careful of that. The hardest part about it will be to find a hot surface to heat it on. We don't need a heater in Honduras and our stove is open flame.

Well, things went a bit faster than expected. Turns out last night, I got a VIP email from lego, (for being a VIP member) and I can order the Tower of Orthanc early! Normally I would wait it out to go to a lego store, but seeing as shipping was free, (for who knows how long :/ ) and I get a free Jor-El minifigure, I got it. I also got the council of Elrond. :D So, theres this months purchases, unless I somehow come across some Series 10 minifigures... (I still don't have any!)

Wow! That's an awesome purchase! I am saving up,hopefully a 1000 dollars to buy all the things I want! But it will take a while. XD

I'll want to pick up the Chess set they have at the LEGO shop.....eventually. The knight minifigures will be quite usefull! Since I use mostly peach minifigures, I might get 40 peach hands off of ebay for $15

This one? If not I have not seen the other.

I finally got it! I built it yesterday and modified it so that it's one large swinging door instead of two. I got it with no minifigures, no weapons, no horse, and no eagle for only $30! Now once I get the second one (on sale) I'll modify it to match the one I have already and have one large double doors instead of 2 small double doors!
It looks quite awesome! I kept to the style of the set and once I get the other set, I'm thinking of doing a diorama sorta thing with more rock work and minifigures. :D

Which series is your favorite? Problem with me is, I like to save my money for the bigger sets and I (usually) spend a lot of time thinking before buying and many of the minifigs aren't that appealing to me. So when it comes down to it, I don't really want them. The only ones I really do want are the ones from the early series and they are usually scarce or very expensive on Bricklink.

The cape was one of the main reasons I wanted that fig. But alas, I don't have him.

Good news is, I have the whole week off of work next week, and the twelfth of July, I should be able to go to the nearest store that sells LEGO! Yes, it is very sad. But it doesn't matter all that much because most of the sets are double what I could buy them directly from LEGO for. So I usually just wait until I am in the US to buy my LEGO.

I have got all LOTR sets except from Helm's Deep and Orc Forge, so that I was able to have the whole Fellowship.

Did the fact that you had to bye most of the LOTR sets to get the fellowship annoy anyone else?

It did annoy me, but since I had planned on buying them all anyway it was not a huge annoyance. But yes, even the cheapest way to get the entire fellowship you had to buy:

Moria, Gandalf Arrives, Shelob attacks, and Weathertop

Which totals to about $170.00

I got recently the Council of Elrond set and The Black Gate with no minifigs (because it was half the price that way). I'm planning on getting the Wizard Battle and either the Chess set or Bag End. BTW when I wrote this comment, Bag End was $55 on Amazon, http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-The-Hobbit-Unexpected-Gathering/dp/B009TCYK74/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1372948475&sr=8-1&keywords=Bag+end, it's 20% off.

However, if there is one fig I would recommend, its War Machine.

Here you can see all the LEGO I got this weekend:

Bricklink:http://www.flickr.com/photos/beardlessdwarf/9297688260/

BrickForge: http://www.flickr.com/photos/beardlessdwarf/9294912109/in/photostream/

And a nice bit from my Grandma: http://www.flickr.com/photos/beardlessdwarf/9294914583/in/photostream/

Awesome! I see you bought some shoulder pouldrons. I have them too, they're awesome. But there is one very important thing about them: You can only use them together with brickforge neck armour, or at least the ones I used. I first didn't know it and only got the pouldrons, before I made a second order. They barely fit the shoulders without the neck armor.

You should do that. I think it's awesome that Lego made so many new beards in the last few years, so that now there are so many possible combinations. (the fantasy era dwarf beards, Gimli's beard, the HOBBIT, Hagrid, the old wizard beards in all colors, the Fisherman's beard, Caveman's beard, Gandalf's and Saruman's beards, Ninjago and the Brickforge beards)

Yes, it' s pretty awesome set. Even though you get almost exactly the same parts and figures Orthanc, I think one part makes it worth it: You've probably already guessed it, the eye of Sauron, it's just begging to be used in a mini Barad-Dur.

Last year I bought the Orc Forge set. It's a really great way to get slopes. I'm looking at it now and there are lot's of olive cheese slopes, 2x2 corner slopes, and various other kinds. If you're looking to buy slopes and various other useful parts, the Orc Forge is what I would recommend.

Basically 8 people buy a set we all agree on, in this case, it was the Council of Elrond. We got it on a deal for $24, and then we all give it to the leader/organizer. He opens them and sorts the pieces, by color and piece. Then using random.org, randomly puts the people in order, from 1-8. Then in that order, you can select ONE bag. (I am number 2!) Once all 8 picked a bag, it goes the opposite direction. 8-1, then 1-8, 8-1, etc. You keep going back and forth till all the bags are gone! Then he ships the pieces we picked to us. For an example, there could be a bag with 64 orange leaves. If I select that bag, I get ALL 64! So this draft is a fantastic deal! Right now we are in the shipping our sets to the leader/organizer stage. I can't wait to start selecting my bags!

I hope this was a help.

The LORT set coming out this summer is going to be the last wave. The LORT sets haven't sold as well as Lego would have liked so they decided to only do three waves. One wave of sets for the Hobbit movies. As for the hobbit sets I am not really sure. There could be more coming out after the There and Back Again sets come out or like the new LORT sets coming out it could be the last wave of hobbit sets as well.

I might buy Wormtongue sometime. But the set itself is way much money! When the new LOTR sets come out, I'll be trying to get Amon Hen, Osgiliath, and The Pellenor Fields. I'm so excited to see pictures of them!

NO LotR sets this year, Hobbit sets in October, possibly LotR summer 2015.

The Hobbit sets are:

Another Dol Guldur set at 15$ that suposedly includes Galadriel, the Witch King and Elrond.

Another Lake Town set at 29$ which includes Bain and a couple other figures that are not revealed yet.

59-69$ Battle of Five Armies, which includes Dain Ironfoot and 5-7 other figures that we don't about yet.

119-129$ Erebor With Smaug.

Thats pretty much all know.

I found some of the Harry Potter Sets from 2001/2002 for their original prices... Should I bid? (They're original priced even with shipping. :D )
I also found a Thirty dollar one for fourty dollars, but it's still a reasonable deal. (It's the one with the three headed dog)

Well, it's not that I need them for a certain MOC, they're just for whenever I need them. Before I only had 4... so it'll be nice to have some more.

As I've said before. I don't need them for one particular MOC, just for whatever. It was cheeper to buy 200 than to buy like 20 of 'em. Yesterday I built something with about 3/4 of them.

Nice! Tip; if you want to make the wood floor more realistic, (and now you have all that wood. :P ) place them in sideways and it'll look way more real. :)

Yeah definitely. I think if those light grey arches had been dark grey, it would have fit with the rest of the Dol Guldur set better but the light grey kind of throws off the color scheme of the other sets.
