Well, both of us are are actually comming from the same area in Northrhine Westphalia/Germany. There is a friendly rivalry between those people who inhabit the Siegerland, where Michael is from, and the southern part of the Sauerland, where I am from, except that my grandmother also originates from Michael's area.

"The Dilldappen" are some kind of fairy-tale creatures. Today a plonker may be called a "Dilldapp" and there is a comic-paper about them as well.

Returning to you Michael, yeah, I know them and of course I know where Netphen is.

I like the spelling of this! Is it a town or a village?
It's actually a state, (a large collection of towns and cities all in one mass of land which is called a name, in this case Massachusetts, and then it is called a state. Really I've never thought about it, but the idea of states is truly quite confusing...) Now, I wanna ask you a question: What is the difference between a town and a village? I always thought they were the same thing...

I learned that a town is a small city and that a village is even smaller than a town. So villages have a very small amount of houses (20-200), towns have more houses and only a few towns are cities (mostly capitals) They can have up to 1,000,000 people in it. So every city is a town, but not every town is a city. And a village is by far too small to be a town.

Then I'd say I live in a village. There are only like, 1000 people living here.

Oohkay, so that's not too bad. We live just on the city limits, so our house is on the city line, and our barn where we keep all the animals (except our dog and cats) is just over the city limit. We live about a fifteen minute walk out of main street where all the stores and stuff are. :D

No, not too bad. Sometimes I wish I lived closer to my friends, but it's not terrible. It's nice being out of the city.
Where we lived before, it was an hour to the nearest town, which was a tiny village with an almost unused church and a few houses... hehe, and most of the drive was on a terrible dirt road... and the nearest city was about... an hour and 45 minutes away.
Ok yah that would stink. :C

I live in Michigan City, Indiana. Lake Michigan (one of the largest lakes in North America) is a fifteen minute drive from my house and Trail Creek (famous for our salmon and trout runs) is five minutes away as well. I was born and grew up here, but my heritage is Irish, English, Welsh, and Transylvanian on my mother's side and all German on my father's side.

I love Colorado Springs, though I haven't been there since my senior year in high school. My favorite place in Co is Loveland Heights, just east of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Crosier Mountain is near there (right between Drake and Glen Haven) and is a very fun hike but it takes a lot out of you if you go to the top.

Do you help in the church or do you just visit it weekly (like every Sunday).

Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark. I live in the South East part of the olive green part "Nordrhein-Westfalen",
so it is a very long drive with car, but it should be fast with train.
