Hi Chris and Mark, I was just looking at the 2011 MOCie Awards, and was wondering if there will be a 2012 repeat in the same style? If so, and if possible, how can I enter? I understand if it is private and I may not ask.

Yeap, there's going to be a MOCie awards this year! It won't be until after Brickworld (end of June) but we'll get things started a bit before that.
My advice is to read through last years group a bit (start in the "rules" type categories and see what I wrote there) to get a feel of how things are set up.

If after you've read through it you still have questions then feel free to come on back and ask. Permalink | March 21, 2012, 9:41 am |

I will be turning thirteen, TFOL, in February, so does that mean I won't be eligible for the Young MOCer category? Permalink | March 21, 2012, 11:00 am |

I have a question that sort of goes along with Fritz, would I be legible for YFOL if I turn 13 in April? Permalink | March 21, 2012, 1:45 pm |

Well if the MOCies aren't until June and you're turning 13 in April then I suspect not. But the real call is up to the MODs. Permalink | March 21, 2012, 5:53 pm |

so is this how it works: people vote for like "the funniest moc" then the one with the most votes winns that catagory? Permalink | April 14, 2012, 11:14 pm |

I'd say he still counts, just as long as stuff he does after April doesn't factor in to the decision. Permalink | April 16, 2012, 11:06 am |

Yeap, pretty much. It'll all be explained when we open the group... sometime in May (maybe).
Being as it's not a contest, the group won't be open all that long (compared to say the MocOlympics or MocAthalon where there needs to be a lot of time involved). I'm hoping to get it open in late May, have everyone vote during mid to late June and then post the winners in early July.
That's the tentative timeframe for this. I'll let everyone know when the group is open. Permalink | April 16, 2012, 11:43 am |

Hey Phipson, can I do the half-time entertainment for the 2012 MOCie show? I have a lot of Lego (and a few MEGA BLOKS) jokes I thought up. I can show you my Comedian sig-fig. Permalink | May 1, 2012, 10:41 am |

Thank you for the offer but that's kind of Stuart D's gig. He's been doing it for a few years now and really enjoys it and I'm not going to take that away from him.
Thanks though! Permalink | May 2, 2012, 10:40 am |

Hey Chris, can my siggy and his bodyguard, http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/327504, be the security for the pre, main and after MOCie awards shows? Just to kinda, you know, let people know I exist. (plus I'm really good at taking care of annoying people, ;) Permalink | June 10, 2012, 1:25 pm | |
