Honors, Daniel Jezek.

Lt. John Harland

Daniel Jezek, the founder and owner of the Bricklink store, died recently. this man has had a not only a profound influence on this hobby but has had arguably the single greatest impact on the community since the introduction of the brick we know today was first introduced in 1954.

I regard to the site itself it will continue under the ownership of the Jezek family. One Eric Smith will act as the BrickLink Administrator.
The site will continue operating without interruption and all Bricklink users can rest assured that the policies and fee structures will remain the same. Please remember Dan in your thoughts and prayers. Go the The Brothers Brick for more information and a link to Daniel Jezek's memorial page.

I owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude for his contributiion. In fact, I might not be in the hobby at all, if it hadn't been for BL.

It's a rare thing that we get to affect other people's lives in such a positive way - and yes, I realize in the big picture, Lego isn't all that important - but Nevertheless... Within our circles, he made a difference. I was very sorry to hear of his death, but I'll think of him every time I hit that site, and as I slap down countless dollars for the sake of more brick, I'll be thanking him!
