Don't leave MocPages because you don't get comments. Try to be active in groups and comment on others creations. It helps!

Flare, being rude and mean just to get attention is really not called for. JV was getting frustrated by the lack of attention, he was simply trying to get people to look at his page. I do not get you, sometimes you are nice, mature and I like chatting with you and other times you act like a know it all little kid. Try to be a little more positive.

If I were you, I would comment on other people's MOCs, join groups, and get inactive groups active. It really helps, and gets you noticed and gets your MOCs commented on. Trust me. And when you add a new MOC, post in a group that you're uploading a new one. Then they'll know. And BTW, you sound like a pretty reliable guy to me. I think I'll go comment on your MOCs and join your groups. Mkay?

Well...

I think it's a rather bad reason to leave because of not getting comments, it's not a popularity contest, although I admit it's nice to be given feedback on one's work. Also try making something new, I don't think most people, even those that follow your creations would comment on a creation uploaded two months ago, I stop getting comments on my stuff the second day it's up, new creations are added everyday and eventually your creation is buried under the rest of MOCs uploaded on a daily basis.

Juan makes some excellent points here.

Both Machine and Juan make very valid points. I find a lot of activity attracts attention, so groups, themes and contests open your work up to other people. Making somebody a fave builder usually engenders some goodwill in the form of a few comments, but it is important to remember it's not a popularity contest. I've seen some great builders who are virtually unknown (have a look here http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/19985 for instance) so don't get down about it. Yes it's frustrating when another clone on a plate with sharpied colours gets 40+ I like its, but thats about being in 12 different Clone wars groups and telling everybody that their clones are awesome, then begging for comments.

Like Mr. Bones, I will take a look at your stuff too.

Stuart also points out a valid bit of fact. The fellow he linked above is great, way better than the stuff some post, yet he has very few "I like its". As soon as folks get to know him, he will be very popular as his work is excellent. On the other hand, I saw a very simple so called custom clone that received about 150 I like its simply because that group likes to have conversations on their creations. Keep building my friend, join some groups, get active.

Well, depends on what you like to build. Join my Spooky Group and maybe that will give you some new ideas. Also, we can discuss your collection and what you can build with what you have. Cheers.

I've thought that several times before. I mean, look at me. Pretty good creations and the most likes I get is 11, while there are colored clones getting 150 likes, as Mister Bones mentioned. You do get more comments than me, and you're quite good.

Right then, I checked out some of your creations and left comments with some advice on them. Long story short, I don't think you've got anything to worry about, just get building! You're very young and will only get better if you keep trying and listen to good advice. You have built a lot in two very, very popular catagories - HALO and Star Wars - which means that your MOCs are among many others vying for attention and usually somebody has built the same thing before. I personally love Star Wars but have never built a thing in it because there is so much (good and bad) out there.

So, inspiration. Well Bones has already steered you to a group (Good man!)and without knowing what you have in your collection it's difficult to just say "Go build some castle/pirates/giant zoo sculptures", but you seem to like and build science fiction themes, mechs and hardsuits so go find Shannon Ocean's page and check out his Cyborg gladiators for a start, they might be right up your street.

I personally love reading and get a lot of my inspiration from books and comics. Movies and TV offer a lot too, so if you're really stuck do this - Watch/ read one or two of your favourite films/ shows/ books, then challenge yourself to recreate something from it. Even if you don't want to post the end result it will get you thinking and building.

And you're now on my favourites list, so i'll be watching.....

Good man yourself Stuart! Getting people to look at the good builders on these pages is one way we help out I think. Now JV is getting a few hits as well.

Hey JV, your creations are really good, and I would be diasppointed to see you go. Here's some advice: I find that if I spend time thinking of better techniques, I build better. and by the way, it's not against the law to look at other people's creations for ideas.

Hey, look at me. I'm practically unnoticed... wait, I take that back. I just wish that I would get more I Like Its, like everyone else, and it's not an easy thing to do. Your MOCs have to be good, really good, and mine aren't, so you're getting your share, and I get mine. What I'm saying is, you've probably gotten your average I Like Its rate, and it will steadily exceed that later on.

I agree with all these points. What we must do as "lower on the foodchain" members is not give up because of the Clones and Spartans. We have to stick together and participate in more groups. We won't give up!
