Help with uploading pictures
Join to comment
I can upload normal pictures to MOCpages fine, but when I try to upload an image from Comic Life (A comic-creation program) It doesn't work correctly. Any help here? I've tried to save it in a different format (.JPG) And uploading that image instead it still doesn't work. I know Dennis Price has made it work, because on the Ice Killya page one of his comments says "I use Comic Life to create these." Any advice?

Instead of using that program, you could use paint. make a white bubbles, and put a text box inside. Best I can think of.

This is really a question for the
MOCpages help group [ http://mocpages.com/group.php/2600 ], which handles matters of a more "technical nature".

Post it there, and I'm sure people will be glad to help you.

The Advice group is more for "abstract" matters, such as building and photography advice (and lots and lots of friendly smack-talk).

I thought that this group handled part of technical difficulties, but I was wrong. I'll go there instead.

Here is my advice. Ask Dennis Price, I believe he uses that for his Gloshimire Knights, a great comic that you all should check out! (This comment paid for by D.Price....just kidding folks)

In comic life, go to file dropdown menu, and go to "export" and select the JPG one.

Or ask Flare, he uses it to. Thanks Flare.

I'll forward this thread to Dennis and see if he has any advice for you.

Technically they're right that this group is more for the abstract advice on mocpages, but we can help you out here. In the future however, yes, the help group is the place to go. This time you're cool, don't sweat it.

You need to export the images the Comic Life file as a jpeg. It will create a folder with all of your pages as jpegs -- my first guess here is you're trying to upload the ComicLife file and not the actual jpegs. You can't just tell it to save as a jpeg, you have to use the export command. Go to file>export>export images to do this.

Thanks for your help. I will go to the help group next time. I might need some more deodorant as well!

I have exported them, at first I thought it didn't have an export option.

I tried that at first, but I suddenly remembered that you can only upload jpeg, PNG and GIFs.
