Hey all you MOCers of the world! I was wondering. I'm thinking of adding the worlds largest LEGO MOC and I want all of your ideas! I will feature in the credits of the MOC when its done! It should take a bout 3 or 4 years. Depending on the free time i have. So leave comments giving me ideas please!

Biggest moc...whoosh, that's a big saying, maybe a big city or ship is what I would do.

Rats! Ok. I guess i'll have to start with the ramps and the building. But i can't do the ramps without sizing the cars and getting the right shape!

then start working on the building and stadiums

Toyota dealership is off the charts then. Stadiums would be best

well it might take you some time on the staduims so hmmm... put the dealership aside for now till I get the coputer and upload the car pics ok

OK. The stadium will take about 3-4 months depending on free time and color availability

Yeah, you could do some funny things happening everywhere too, like a robber holding a bank hostage, or somebody robbing someone in a alley :)

Or in the stadium i can add some humor! I can put a fan trying to tackle the pitcher and a robber holding up one of the infielders. Lol! Then i can put the grim reaper waiting in the mens bathroom until soebody dies

that reminds me add superman to be the rescuer nah im just messing with ya I really meant was make a bank with broken wall and glass to show a car crashed in

Typing from experience here, I have to agree with Phaze. Don't get me wrong though, I hope you succeed, it's just that I'm cynical.

Like Paheze said, this is going to crash and burn... unless you are able to focus on it until it's done. Mybe make it a retro space city like this http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/181658?

I was going to keep my mouth shut here but...

Not trying to be rude, but it's a good thing you're a kid because at least you'll have time on your side.

Claiming to start building the world's largest moc? Perhaps you should do some research before claiming to want to do that. How bout you start with "biggest moc of anyone under 15 on mocpages... in this group." Maybe that's a good place to start and work your way up from there.

Just some friendly advice.

From some of your comments, and those of the others, I assume you're going the "organic" route, letting it grow as it will. Obviously, something like this isn't going to happen overnight, so you've got to make sure you keep up that enthusiasm for the project. Don't try to hurry it along, though; just let it grow. Do other creations now and then that are totally different. Take breaks from building anything at a few points along the way. Above all, don't let yourself get discouraged. You're going to be backtracking and modifying now and then, but that's just part of the fun, really. I'll end this with a trite, but still applicable phrase: "Rome wasn't built in a day."

Cool idea, but your going to need a LOT of bricks for that, someone has made a LEGO house! http://parents.lego.com/en-gb/legoandsociety/lego%20house.aspx

Fantastic advice! When I work on large projects, I try to take pleasure not so much in only the end product, but in each step along the way...imagining that every stage is a creation in and of itself. It keeps me from getting burned out, and provides mental markers for my progress.

Now I laughed above, and most of the rest of us don't think you'll be able to do it, but here's the thing...what if you did? Do you have the patience? Do you have the tenacity? How about the funding? Is this project more important to you than everything you'll have to sacrifice to achieve the goal?

You're looking at nothing less than YEARS of work. I personally think you leaped before you looked in saying what you did. BUT...I'd LOVE for you to prove us all wrong!!!!! So, with that, I skeptically say GOOD LUCK!

"Those who try to do something and fail are infinitely better than those who try nothing and succeed"
- LLoyd Jones
"I don't believe in failure. It's not failure if you enjoyed the process."
- Oprah Winfrey

"Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly."
- Robert F. Kennedy

The point I'm trying to make is that you have the potential to succeed. Sure, it will take years (Six for the battleship Yamato) But just because it's going to be a long process doesn't mean you shouldn't go for it. One more quotation:

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."
- Lao-tzu

I know. Phaze is doing what Phaze seems to do best. And I'm doing what I do best. It doesn't matter how many pieces Crypto has NOW, or how much experience he has NOW. He'll gain both as the project goes on. True, it's a vast undertaking, but it IS possible, and that's what counts.
