Oh BAWWW being five-ten years older than the average makes them so much more important and deserving of respect BAWWW.

Perhaps you can't tell, but this is a situation I find acceptable.

I've had problems with the 'popular, never ever make a mistake' crowd before, and the way people just assume that what the famous guy has to say is always true just gets under my skin.

So you say it should be against the rules for people to be rude to AFOLs?

Howsabout we start by making the AFOLs less believable, since everything they say these days is taken as the gospel truth.

Man....you're wound up really tight. I never in a million YEARS would have imagined that little colored ABS plastic bricks would cause such DRAMA!!!! Thankfully I drink (and maybe sleep) my way past it all.

I wonder how many more creations would be posted if people spent as much energy building as they do getting dramafied. Probably would be thousands more builds a week.

Heath....sheesh, I am just a nutty AFOL who can not even spell, I really didn't confuse you with Goldman, just too much coffee today. On another note, I should be flogged as well for proving them right, I shall now slink off and curl into a ball.

It's a very personal matter for me.
It's less the bricks and more the community, actually.

No harm done. I hereby sentence you to 5 Captain Morgans, 3 Jim Beams, and 2 Martinis. Oh I sentence myself to the same punishment!

If more people tick you off than not, then it's not a community feeling. It's a feeling of self righteousness. People come, and people go, but plastic will live on forever.

Didn't they create the YMCA to help with the "community" warm and fuzzies?

Absolutely. But you have to do two more shots of it for penance. I'm not a push over after all.

Mm, no. One person who was looking for a scapegoat, actually. Just doing my best to ensure it doesn't happen to anyone else.

No, the people that really tick me off are the starwars fanatics, halo fanatics and brickarms sympathizers who post previews of 'teh 1337 n3w pr0totyp3s'.

Oh, and if you think this is drama, you should have seen the Phaze incident a couple months back.

Do you realize, though, that unless you quit LEGO (unthinkable, I know), or die young, you'll be an AFOL yourself someday.

It's like in that Mark Collie song from "The Punisher" - "you'll never outrun the hands of time".

Of course I realize that.
But the last thing I want is to have everything I say treated as though it came from a cloud, engraved on solid diamond.

I must say, though, that I do find commendable your understanding that all humans are quite fallible.

Strange. My belief was that a few minutes browsing the web would teach one not only that humans are fallible, but that some of them seem to take great delight in making the most annoying animated ads in existence.

If it happens by accident, it's a sad failure of advertising.
If it happens deliberately, it doesn't exactly say much in their favor.

So: humanity in general, or advertisers at least(or both) either fails pathetically on a regular basis or is actively malicious.

Of course, my beliefs say both are true.
