You copy and paste the embedded code of the picture that you want and paste it when you edit you homepage. I hope that made sense...

I have noticed that you build in many different themes and styles. Where do you get your inspiration for them and what could your call your favorite?

Chris, how did YOU find MOCpages? I remember when you first joined (table games for all!) but it's always fun to hear how people got here.

I actually happened across it by accident. I've been a LEGO fan for a LONG time but never "moced". My first few sets I bought while in Europe, a couple of castle sets and some spyrius robot thing WAY back in 1995. Then I kind of fell out of collecting them for a while till they came out with the Star Wars sets and I HAD to get those (I still have the first X-wing that they released assembled and sitting on my desk, among others that'll probably never come down).

Flash forward a few years and I'm still collecting the star wars sets, but not really "doing" anything with them. One day, I'm sitting there, surfing the net, doing research for that table game you remember, and I happened across some of Dan Jassim's stuff. The next guy I noticed was Kelso, followed by Goldman and Ludgonious and so on. I was like "Man, these guys do this with lego?"

Not long after that, I built my first moc and joined the ranks of mocpages. So basically, I've only been "Moccing" since about February of 2008. Wow, has it really only been that long?

And the rest as they say... is history.

My favorite theme has always been sci fi. But for some reason, I'm starting to drift towards being a townie... can somebody tell me exactly WHEN that happened please?

Insipration comes from all over. I've been driving down the street and seen a building with unique architecture and gone "hey, I should build that."

One story I have about inspiration striking out of the blue was for the "Malcontent." I picked up season one of Clone Wars on DVD (yes, I like that show. No, nobody invite me to your awsum clone warz group please). In the DVD, was a book with some concept art pieces. I remembered how Kelso's "Rusty Ferret" was inspired by Star Wars concept art and just had to throw some bricks at it.

A lot of my other builds, like Phips Clips and what not, start with an idea or joke, then I figure out how best to translate that idea into Lego.

For example, my current build (coming soon to a mocpage near you) is based on a very well known Christmas story. I took the story and adapted it to fit our little world (mocpages, not earth) and have been building sets and props for the past 10 days or so. I hope to have it posted by the end of next week (crosses fingers).

Inspiration isn't something you go looking for, it finds you. My only advice is when the muse strikes, make sure that the idea hasn't been done a thousand times already. Take your idea and make it your own.

Don't know when, but I do know that taking a well-made town building and trashing it with science-fictiony tanks and so forth is a long-established institution.
