Earlier today I read Mark Kelso's huge tutorial for photoshopping a backround. I have GIMP, and I almost figured it out. If any of you have GIMP, please give some tips, thanks.

You should ask Jonothan Pastuch, he uses GIMP frequently just look at these:

I believe the lightsaber effects were done on GIMP, well pardon me if I am wrong.
