Here’s something I find helpful when searching for new ideas on how to make my MOC look exciting and innovative.

Go through your LEGO collection and pick random pieces that look interesting. Now try putting them together in unconventional ways.

Pretty cool, huh?
Now see if you can incorporate that design into an MOC!

Personally, I like to down 3-4 martinis and then have a go at building a MOC…….explains a lot doesn’t it?

Here’s another tip for making your MOCs more noticeable:

Spice it up a bit!

I do, I use Blair's rubs and hot sauces on them, then when the little kids stick them in their mouths..HAHAHA, oh...you meant figuratively.

Actually, the term "amen" (used in this context) originated from a Hebrew word meaning "truth", but had later become translated to "let it be so". Regardless, the term predates its use in Christianity by several centuries.

Personally, I don't care at all for overuse of political correctness. What ever happened to 1st Amendment rights?

First what now? Think those are going away along wit hthe 2nd Amendment.

It says nothing about inappropriat mocs.

"For all these years, MOCpages deleted inappropriate comments automatically, right after you wrote them. The only difference now is that MOCpages lets you know what you're doing wrong so that you have the opportunity to write a good comment instead. Automatically blocking bad content before you submit it helps you understand what kinds of comments would just be deleted anyway. This way you'll know how you can do your part to play by the rules." If they were truly bad they would have been deleted, and "MOCpages only censors the comments you make to others... But you're free to write whatever you want on your pages." these are exact quotes from the Mocpages rules.

Marks, I know who and what you're talking about. For the record, the "Legion of Doom" is not one guy, but a bunch of builders that share one page. But that's besides the point. The point here is, and I'm sorry to say for you that the others here are correct.

MOCpages terms and conditions of use CLEARLY state, and I quote:

"The rules only apply to comments
MOCpages only censors the comments you make to others... But you're free to write whatever you want on your pages. Why? Because free speech is the right to stand in your house and say what you want. It's not the right to go over someone else's house and act rude and vulgar... For that, you can be expected to ask to leave."

Basically, these guys can post whatever they want as long as it has to do with lego.

I've already been though this ENTIRE argument a couple of times and I don't want to go back and forth on this. My stance is that I'd MUCH rather see (and have my children see) the act of love portrayed in humorous lego form than blood, gore and violence. That being said, the Legion of doom hasn't done anything against mocpages rules. Sorry.

That is a personal thing though!!!

Exactly. It's your personal choice not to like it. It's ALSO the Legion of Doom's personal choice to post what mocs they want to post. If you don't like it, don't click on it. I don't like to sound gruff here but there's been WAY too many discusions about this topic and I'm sorry, but not only is it NOT against any rules, but it's a lot better for kids to see THAT kind of thing than it is to see blood, gore, violence, hatred, killing and so on.

Just remember, it's not right for you to try to force your opinion on what's right or wrong on others.

My last post here. I don't see how your moderators are mods!and talking about s-x is between the parnets and the kids. and killing battle droids on a video game isnt as bad a seeing a private act of effection that only the two participators sdhould know about!

I'm not sure what you just said... But my point is this and... I REALLY hope you actually read this instead of replying with an emotionally based response.

What the Legion of Doom posted is not only within mocpages standards (whether it's within yours or not is entirely not the point), but it's also WELL within the standards of the FCC. That exact scene could (and has) be shown on Sunday night local access television at any time of day. I'm pretty sure you don't watch the show "Family Guy" but basically, that exact scene has been portrayed on that show and it's shown at 7pm on Sunday nights on Fox television.

Look, we're not trying to tell you that you should like what the Legion posted, not by any stretch. What we're saying is that it's their choice to post it.

Trust me, when someone steps over the line, we take care of the problem. These guys haven't.

And on a personal note, I find violence in any form much worse than an act of love. I've seen REAL violence and despite how cool they make it look on video games, the real stuff is NOT. Perhaps we should take a step back and look at the society that says that it's perfectly ok to share images of violence with our children, but not love...

ART IMITATES LIFE! Its as simple as that. I am glad that Legion of Doom made you stop and think. I mean, its great that you don't like it, its great you had a reaction. Now move past it. For the rest of your life you are going to be bombarded with people and things you find unpleasant, you will have to learn to deal with these issues.

And most importantly, if you choose to criticize someone, make sure to use correct spelling.

What really irks me is the people in America who claim to be offended by the idea of freedom this nation has forged, or even the flag that represents it.

If you hate freedom and you love Che Guevara so much, then move to freaking Cuba! No one's forcing you to stay here! If you're such a fan of censorship, then move to China or Iran! They love oppressing free thought and silencing the voice of the people there!

Well said. You would know, considering where you were born. I am glad you enjoy our freedoms!

This will be my last word on the subject and then we'll consider it closed.

Architect, I'm going to be locking this thread so please feel free to make a second thread for yourself.

hypocrisy (hî-pòk´rî-sê) noun
plural hypocrisies
1. The practice of professing beliefs, feelings, or virtues that one does not hold or possess; falseness.
2. An act or instance of such falseness.

The American Heritage®

And now, a direct quote from Commander Marks CC-124 in the general conversation thread of this group:

"but my parents do nnot let me talk to mormons because that's there rule ,and don't h8 on me about that please."

What is Chris trying to say here? Simple. Commander Marks, you want us to BAN people that make jokes about the act of love that in NO WAY insult any one person, group, race, religous belief or anything else and yet your comment here was directly insulting towards Mormans.

MOCpages rules state that you may NOT go into "someone elses living room" (in other words, MY group) and say something insulting to them. For the record, I'm not, but how do you know that I'm not Morman? Or how do you know that people reading this aren't? You don't. Technically, you my friend, not the Legion of Doom, have broken the MOCpages terms and conditions of use.

Don't worry, we're not going to try to ban you or even hold this grudge against you any longer. (You hear that MOCpages? Please do NOT hold any grudge against Commander Marks.) I simply want you to think next time before you fly off the handle and attempt to rally a cause that may in your mind be just, but in reality, is not.

Thank you for taking the time to read through this and hopefully you'll understand that Religious intolerance is GRAVELY MORE offensive than any joke made by the Legion of Doom.

Good luck to you here on MOCpages.

~Chris.
