the “no questions” rule definitely added a bit of…uniqueness to the contest. But in a good way.
I thought it worked well, the entertainment value was a definite bonus! I instituted that after having seen groups like the official MOColympics one, where people were constantly asking questions about things that were clearly stated in the rules, if they'd only take the trouble to read them. I wanted to put the kibosh on that right away.

One thing that you’d mentioned in the review, though, was that it didn’t make sense for two thieves that had broken in some place to just be standing around to have their guns stolen by a another pair thieves. I actually had thought of the people below as guards and not as thieves, although I didn’t state it in the MOC.
I thought they were guards at first too, it made more sense if they were guards. What made me decide they were thieves is where you not only said, "a break in has occurred," but "will the thieves escape?" It seemed clear that the orange guys weren't escaping, so I figured it had to be the guys below. I can't deny it was confusing.

Finally, it’s very encouraging to have an experienced builder like you compliment me on some of my other creations like you did at the end of the review.
If I felt a review had an overly negative tone, I tried to point to a positive elsewhere. At the same time, I don't believe in empty praise, and those builds definitely deserve compliments.
