Mr. Baer,

Thank you for allowing me to join your site. It's a cool group and there are lots of Brickfair alumni out there who would like to post here if they knew about the site.

I thought the group might get a kick out of checking the fossil record (Brickfair 2008). It was a great fest, and I am sure the 2012 fest will be just as cool. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend this year.

I do have a request, and a recommendation:

Could you please withdrawal my "Moderator" status and make me a regular group member? I am not going to do any actual moderating in this group, and therefore don't really want the badge. I'm just a civilian here, not a deputy.

Further, I recommend that you do away with the "approval" requirement for new members. It's a bit of a turn off for some people. I mean, it's not as if you are going to run out of space in the group right? Just a thought.

Good points Michael. If you wish, I can easily remove the moderator badge. I have given it to all of the members, in effort to give them much more freedom and power to control how the group is run. The "approval required to join" is simply a way to make sure most of you have gone to Brickfair before joining the group. Gives me a chance to check your names. I don't necessarily want this group to be overrun by random kids hoping to post their latest creations. We'll see. Thank you for your comment Michael!

Sad but true. You have to actively filter against the "Clone on a Plate" deluge.

Thanks again for the invite.
