((I believe that we voted to start this one, So here is my introduction of the Shadowmongers. Also called dark makers for their natural ability to convert other elements into shadow.))

The pods hit the surface of the planet like meteors. Flaps on the side pushed the pods upright, stabilizing the occupants. When they opened they looked like the bloom of a demented flower releasing its deadly nectar. The occupants stepped off of the platforms. This was the first time they had set foot on soil in years. Each being stood three and a half meters tall. Their long slender heads tossed about, bright orange eyes scanning for any signs of life. Each had four long spines, two on each shoulder. Their left arms were long and slender, While their right arms seemed more like weapons or tools. Their strong digigrade legs stepped easily around the rock formations that surrounded them. All radiated dark energy...

[Voro]

I stepped from the pod onto the foreign soil. It felt good to have the solid ground beneath my boots again. I pressed a button on my arm, causing the pod to seal like a flower on a cold summer's night.
"Alright team, collect your samples and report back here in twenty minutes." The others nodded and fanned out across the landscape. Some scoured the rocky crevasses, looking to find insects or reptiles that most likely did not exist. Others searched for plants that were probably dead and gone. I myself had been ordered to collect mineral samples. This single moon was rumored to be one of the greatest sources of deathsteel in the universe. It was also rumored that it was inhabited by the undead. This had irked me.
I moved to a good drilling spot and began to work...

((Hows that for an introduction.))

((Sounds awesome, and Voro sounds like he'll be a lot of fun to make as a MOC, too ^^ Are these guys Krill, or are the shadowmongers something else entirely?

I'm not sure who my character is going to be, for this. Give me some time to come up with one))

There was a thunder clap. The ground shuddered under my feet. I scanned the horizon, looking for danger but saw none. I returned to my work using the precision drill to pull out a sample of the rocks. removing the field kit from my back, I quickly analyzed the sample. The set pinged it as a positive match with previously collected samples. I left a small beacon and returned to the landing site.

half the Abominations' fleet hovered in a circuler formation above the moon while the rest journeyed to the surface intent on keeping their 'bargain' with The Imune.

I returned to my pod and uploaded the data that I had collected. The others returned, many empty handed. One was missing. "Where is Anic?"
"He's dead sir. A sink hole opened up beneath him and he fell to his death."
"Dxxx. This was his first trip out wasn't it?"
"Yeah."
I sent another report to the ship, requesting that they send some retrieval units and a few machina. I watched as a large craft lowered A mobile base into position. The structure locked itself into the ground. A panel opened on the structure and four large robots stepped out. They stood 5 meters tall with short rounded heads and two massive three fingered digging claws.

unbeknowest to them they were being watched by many peircing yellow eyes lay surrounding the site. one solemn mass slinked out from the shadows bellow the hill. it moved slowly, painstakingly slow. it was followed by others of the same shape. this "ritual' was being carried out all across the dead woods; a place no one dares venture...it is THEIR home, it is a place where life once flourished but now in reflecting its' inhabitants it has decayed. the soil is barren and hard, what scarce threes there are are ,like those whom call this wretched place home, caught in purgatory. in a life without life they stand there bent and decreped and once every six seasons rotten, decaying, rancid fruit appears as if magic on the forrest floor beneath them. leaves brown and moth-eaten cover the earth. eerie.

The machina stopped at the edge of the perimeter. Its red eyes scanned the area. There hands pulled in and were replaced by heavy plasmite cannons. "Sir we have movement all over the place. Status: hostile."

"Team, set tools to combat mode." I scrolled through the different settings and selected ranged assault. Three fingers came from the hand and the palm glowed purple. "Open fire. on my mark." The men and women of the team took up positions behind the machina. "Fire!"
The palm of my hand glowed brighter and fired an intense beam of energy that cut down the creatures like they were nothing, but for every one we killed hundreds rose to take its place. I heard a scream and turned to see my team mates on the left flank disappear under the rotting corpses. A females weapon arm and head burst from the pile. She clawed at the ground and screamed, trying to break free of the hungry monsters. I ran over to her, blasting the undead filth off of her as I ran. I pulled her from the bodies and held her.
"Team, Fall back to the base. There's too many of them." I ushered the others in. "Machina, get in here."
"Yes sir."
As soon as the machina entered the building I sealed the door. Now with a meter of protosteel plating around us and only one entrance, we would hopefully be safe. but just in case... "Team lets get those remote sentries up and running." I turned to the Machina, and pointed at the main entrance and two side passages. "Barricade these doors."

We saw light! This angered us…

They were attracted like moths to a flame. They crept up, others close behind, then the light struck! It had decapitated one leaving its body roaming freely. That instant their pace rapidly grew, their lumbering decrepit masses ran to the figures above

We were hungry…

As they charged one of the beings on the hill was assimilated: many gangly misshapen hands lunged at her tore at her. She attempted to escape screaming as if the louder she yelled the more it would postpone the inevitable, a bloodied, melted hand grabed her thigh, pulling her back. a bald-headed creature drove its teeth into her throat tearing out the wind pipe, others ripped at her abdomen spilling her innards over the dirt. Bones were dislodged and hips dislocated while she still lived. The legions advanced.

We are starving….

Colossuses rose from the mists of the death-wave rearing up on hind legs, their bellows echoed for miles through the calm night. They charged through their brethren.

So very, very hungry…

They had reached the summit. The Undead crowded around the iron caravans rocking them, tipping them over, spilling out their contents. A Juggernaugt came to their assistance.crushing his family with every step, he reached the metal walls. Plummeting its fist into the soft alloy it created a dent which quikly grew to an opening. We were ready for them. As soon as they had breached the walls, The laser defense grid activated. A crisscrossing grid of lasers cut through the creature slicing them to bits. No matter how large or thick, They were diced into little squares. I activated the self-destruct mechanism, and with the rest of the team, Teleported to the ship in orbit. On bored the ship, I disabled the teleporter. Nothing would be getting on this ship from the ground. "Computer, activate the cleansing beam. Purge this world of its vile infection." I stalked to med bay passing dozens of other machina. Four legged security drones stalked along, built like spiders. Hovering around them where dozens of hornet Kamikaze drones, built like flying snakes. When I reached the med lab, Vera, the one I had saved, was In bad shape. I grabbed the Nanite injector and stabbed it into one of the injection ports. They immediately began to repair the damaged tissue and armor, burning out the infection. They would purge her system of all disease and then be flushed from her system. She passed out from the pain.
Hours later, She awoke. She looked around confused. She looked at me, fear in her eyes."Did...did my brother..."
"No. He didn't make it."
She grabbed me and buried her face in my chest crying. A little shocked by this, I just held, telling her it would be alright.

((True but I can make a fare few explode.))
On the planet below, the spire that was to be our home imploded. Every thing in a half mile radius was super compressed into a shining piece of glass. The cleansing beam vaporized the creatures around the crater, then deactivated.
[Voro]

Vera cried until she passed out. I let her lean against me for awhile, and then slipped away. I went up to the bridge. Our ship had already been run by a skeleton crew. Now it would be far harder to fly this heap. I went down to the armory and began gathering supplies. I had to make several trips, and the help of some of the Machina to get everything, but, when i was done I had enough tech to make sure I would be safe. I took an inventory of what I thought I would need.
Portable shield,
dark maker satellites X 5,
laser defense grid,
construction machina X6,
defense machina X10,
Assault machina X10,
Auto turrets X50,
Food and provisions for two years,
Incinerator,
Nanite injector.
I entered the teleporter room And set it to send the equipment to the center of the crater.
The Machina began loading the equipment into the teleporter. This was a one way trip. I made the announcement to the crew Via radio. As I stepped onto the pad, Vera came running through the sliding doors and tackled me. As soon as she hit me the teleporter activated, sending us both to the moon of the dead...
When we reappeared I nearly fell over from Vera tackling me. My arms wind milled as i tried to catch my balance. Steadying my self, I pulled Vera from me.
"Are you insane? We could have been fused together."
"Just a little. Besides I was trying to stop you from leaving, not join you. Now I guess I get watch your back while you set up the auto turrets."

We set to work building our defenses. I activated the portable shield generator and set it to enclose the entire area of the crater. The shield would allow us to come and go while keeping others out. I also activated the laser defense grid closer to the center to add a secondary line if we had to make a stand. The construction Machina began laying down layer upon layer of excidian battle plating on the ground to keep any burrowing foes out, While the combat Machina patrolled the edges of the shield Vera placed land mines along the outside of the shield just far enough away from each other so as not to cause a chain reaction. We both set up the auto turrets at intervals of two so that they would not be over run. Now with three meters of excidian beneath our feet and an energy shield that could only be taken down by destroying the generator, we could finally feel safe.
((If I had nine feet of hardened battle plating beneath my feet and an indestructible shield serving as the walls and roof I would feel pretty safe two.))

The construction Machina continued there work, building a small enclosure around the shield generator. the larger machina began construction of our barracks. I went over to the dark maker satellites and activated one of the control nodes. A small control panel popped up and began to flash. I tapped the screen a few time, initiating the start up protocol. The screen glowed and a series of commands appeared.

COORDINATE FIRE...

INITIATE LAUNCH SEQUENCE...

SYNCHRONIZE LOCAL SATELLITES...

SET FLIGHT PLAN...
I selected synchronize local satellites. The other four satellites began to hum, lights glowing allover the machines. I removed the control panel, activating the remote link. The five Satellites rose from the ground. Each had an excavation beam and its own personal shield. I programed them to circle the area just outside the shield from high altitude. The shot straight up, moving faster than any creature on this world could ever hope to fly. They passed through the shield and kept going. I couldn't help but feel that I was being watched.

"COME HERE, WRETCH!"
"I shall not comply!"
"RRRRARGH!"

Two figures raced over the decaying surface of the plains, one small, slim, lithe and in the lead. His body was grey and blue, with a pulsing, misty orb for a face. The other was a large tokia.

"You belong to me, slave!"

"I belong to no-one!" The Spheroid darted behind a screen of rocks as a hail of red rifle fire soared where his face had been just a second before, then, silence.

The tokia crept up to the rocks, leering, dust puffing up in eddies around his booted feet. "Theeere you are my pretty... don't. Move. A motor...."

[Jihahli]

I ducked back down behind the grey dune, and consulted my wrist-computer... I had never seen those strange black beings before.

After an age of searching, I found nothing. Activating a stealth field in my armour, I began to move in towards them...

I heard weapons fire.
"Laser grid off" The defense grid fell and I ran to the edge of the shield. I saw movement and a muzzle flash. "Vera, keep an eye on things."
Weapons fire might be a sign of life. I stepped through the shield and headed towards the sound, A wispy black energy blade bursting from my hand. Not far from our strong hold, I came across two beings, one without a face the other pointing a gun at him.

"Grid on." A lattice work of lasers surrounded their fall back point, and mini lab. Unlike the turrets and shield, the defense grid did not differentiate friend from foe. The wall of crisscrossing lasers would slice anything that tried to pass through it to pieces. I checked to make sure the turrets were still operational.
"Yep." There was a blip on the edge of the sensors just out of range for the turrets. I linked to Voro. "Voro, There is a contact on the cusp of our defenses. I'm sending two of the Reaver recon drones to investigate. If its alive they will escort it back." I pointed at two of the armored wolf like Machina. they activated, awaiting orders. I tapped in some commands and dropped a nav marker on the contact. They sprinted off in the direction the contact.

[Voro] I lifted the faceless one to his feet and sliced the rope. I moved swiftly to the other lifting him a meter off the ground by his throat. I brought his face closer to mine."Answer me." I heard something and looked past him, my eyes widening as they came to rest on the burrow hole and the creature with its glowing yellow eyes. I tossed him aside and blasted the hole, Eviscerating the creature.

"Beta is MY property. He claims he was released, but refuses to give evidence, and I've been chasing his all the way from Orba Magna! Ngh!" The tokia struggled in Voro's grip.

"That human was never on my registers!"

"I do not trust you! Akonians lie."

"And -so- do humans!"

DXmmit. Their defences were a bit more complicated than I had thought... two sentry machines came towards me. I flicked my wrist, willing them to malfunction. A brief spark, and then both of them dropped from the air. I stepped gingerly between the lines of the grid and up to the side of their main building, out of ight of the female. ((Xirrith talks a bit like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nD4CgQeIh24 The lightshow too, since they communicate with colours and flashes as well as sound. A bit like Decepticon Soundwave but with more harmony and lightshows))

[Diaphamus + Xirrith]

"Beta is MY property. He claims he was released, but refuses to give evidence, and I've been chasing his all the way from Orba Magna! Ngh!" The tokia struggled in Voro's grip.

Beta piped up, red lights flashing up on his "face" and chest. "The human who bought me gave me my freedom! I am free and am no longer bound by your contracts!"

"That human was never on my registers!"

"I do not trust you! Akonians lie."

"And -so- do humans!"

[Jihahli]

I stood with my back against it, trying not to breathe...

((There is no way you could slip through lasers that cross like a chain link fence. And how did he pass through the shield that surrounds the crater. By the way the Reaverswalk they don't fly. I did say that they sprinted off in his direction did i not.))

[Voro]

"Well I am neither, and slavery is unacceptable. Any one that enslaves another is less than an animal." I tightened my grip on his neck. his eyes starting to bulge as I cut off his air supply.

[Vera]

"Voro the two machina I sent out are down. I'm setting the other eight reavers on high alert, and the stalkers are now operating in active camo mode. Be careful out there would ya'." I turned to the main relay that linked to the ship.
"Computer tell Arn to send another twelve reavers ground-side as well as the a pair of hunter tanks and some hornet aerial drones."
"Yes-"
"And get me upgrades for the security A.I.'s."
"Yes mam" I continued with my studies of the soil.

((You weren't clear. Let's say Jihahli has a little field-cutter as well as the ability to deactivate cybernetics from a distance then... and don't say she can't cut it because it's so powerful. That just kills RP :( ))

Diaphamus choked and coughed, clawing at Voro's hand. "You don't..." Cough! "...understand! Beta is... a spheroid!"

[Xirrith] The spheroid replied in a jarring, dramatic chord. "DO NOT HURT HIM!" The frequency dug into Voro's ears painfully. "The Tokia are not evil to enslave us. Without them, we would be nowhere..."

I dropped the Tokia but placed a boot on his chest to hold him in place.
"He held a rifle to your head, tried to kill you, enslaved you. And you defend him?" I looked at the spheroid as the "Tokia" had called it. "We have stamped out slavery in my galaxy and the first star system we come across in this galaxy has slavery." I looked at the Tokia. "You may think slavery is good but any way you cut it,"the blade in my palm extending as I said this."Slavery is wrong."

[Vera]

I looked up from my work, hearing a sharp curse from behind me. I turned, Omni-tool raised and ready for combat."Show yourself. I know your here" The reavers paced around the edge of the shield.

Diaphamus' face went pale, and a low droning came from Beta. It was likely this signified dread, but Voro found it hard to be sure. His translator had no capacity of reading his bizarre, radiation-based language. He spoke in a tense E minor chord. "What is... Undead?"

[Diaphamus] "S-see! They're soulless machines! it's not even real slavery!"

[Beta] "We are Sentient."

[Diaphamus] "But are you sapient?"

[Beta] "We... avoid it." His chord took on a diminished seventh, uncertaintainty evident in the clipped staccato it had become.

[Diaphamus] "There! Y'see! You stupid aliens don't know the first thing about the Spheroids, OR us! Who're you to make calls, uh? This is what the spheroids were -created- for! Ever heard of ArcheoGenis? It's this hu-..." Diaphamus paused, mid sentence, suddenly choking. Silvery blood spurted up, out of his throat and nose, and his heartlight flashed alarmingly. Shadows seemed to be racing across the ground towards him... space blurred... and then a rusting, bleached metal skeleton was all that remained. It looked like it had been there for millenia.

"Well... basically, Necra Magna didn't used to have life on it. After we developed the Chronodermic Space-Drive in our ships, we needed to mine Chrono-Magna. It has the highest concentration of Chronodermis alloy in any system we've ever visited, right on our doorstep. We terraformed it, colonised it, and started mining...

"But Deathsteel does things to living beings. It's impure, and, it sort of... I don't know how to explain it, but it affects time. It can make parts of you older than other parts... The body just dies if exposed for too long, but then, it lives at the same time, if you know what I mean...

"Usually, their spirits are destroyed. They become the undead who keep roaming the planet's surface. Plants too. The ones whose souls are immune to the deathsteel don't lose their spirit. They stay sentient, but their bodies still get twisted by the deathsteel. I don't get affected, just cos I was in this experiment to find a way to make you immune. It works, but it has side-effects...

"Things were going well here though. Most of the outbreaks wre controlled while Lady Vermiru was still alive. She was killed during the Solar War, and her death put the whole moon through the wringer...

“We do this fast. Now.” The guard at his side went bellow and returned a quarter of an hour later with so many men and women behind him that they stuffed up the small entrance tunnel. The hynaks had found their home and came near. When they arrived at the door they were greeted with many sad faces, “I am FH131, is the battalion ready?” the cheiftan replied “Yes. We need to…re-agree. It will be too many men lost.” “That is not for me to decide” a small rover with a flat base came rolling up behind him, on it a life size hologram appeared, “I am General Callidan and the answer to your question is no.” “ But we need to re-agree. Too many.” The hologram gestured to FH131.

The cheiftan fell to the ground burning alive.

The hynak spoke to all those filling the tunnel, “Come on get move on, we don’t have all year.” The many other hynaks moved into the cave ordering them out like prison gaurds:

“Go! Get a move on”

“We `avent got all bloody day”

“Move ye` scrawny bxxxxxs”

As The Imune were led to the carrier ships one solitary person dared slip away…

That one Imune, that had snuck away from the others that were boarding a ship to god knows where, slinked along the rocky mountain. Knowing that he must now start a new life and was happy knowing it for his father had kept him, along with the rest, cooped up in those caves for to long. He was Ellerroh son of Ellerroh, chieftain of the Murtok tribe! And he was hungry. Several yards away he spotted the fallen carcass of a stag, this, he though, was a good place to start.

He came to the carcass and stared at its rotting hide…He dug in his hands tearing off chunks of meat and stuffing his face. Some, however, was to mushy and rotten to eat so he had to spit it out. Then, as he was eating, a small obnoxious voice emanated from the stags stomach, “Hey just wzat the hxll do you think your do`ing!”
Ellerroh looked up to see a small black creature scurry up out of the foul stomach. It seemed to have a large tough shell, on its thorax lived three limbs and near its head lay two used as graspers. Upon its back there was a long red marking distinctly different from its dark black body. “This is –MY- feast! May Cor`opseis devour you!” it said. Ellerroh replied, “Come now little C`rakahn, there is enough here for both of us…and you`ve been at it for some time now.”

“-I- spent three months digesting this beast inside out. It is –MY- kill, -MY- dinner. …Why do you talk so intelligently? The Imune are but simple children.”

[Beta] "These machina... you program them, correct?"

[Voro]

"Ummmmm... No. We don't probe people." He stared at her for a second."What gave you that idea.

[Vera]

"Yes... Though we are working to make them more like obedient animals than mindless machines. Give each its own personality."

[Ellerrroh & C`rakahn]

they had been walking for days --well he had been walking for days, the C`rakahn had been lazily riding on his shoulder. they were coming to a small hut in large, grassy plains and it was night --not a good time to be out on the Dead Moon.

Elleroh rapped at the poorly constructed wooden door that looked as if doing so would cause it to crumble to dust. There was no answer and they weren`t supprised.

"Well, this is home for to night I guess."

"Why not just stay here?"

"Look at the state of the place, its right out in the open...and no one lives here any more...do the math."

"I see, you`re afraid the plauged will come and get you in you sleep!" the little bug said this with a smirk.

"Well it`s no problem for you is it, just another feast!" The Imune had said this much too loudly -- he swerved on his heels to hear rustlings in the bush...

((ps. i think we should probably make this a take-off like vorov trouble)))

[Jihahli] "We could go back to my place." Beta's sphere went pale.

Beta looked upwards, rotating his silver, spherical head within its mechanical nest, mint-green lights flickering near the back showing his thoughts. A yellow lamp switched on in his chest, and he looked down again, towards Voro.

[Beta] "Diaphamus is approaching."

There was a small plume of dust rising on the horizon. Jihahli readied her rifle.

[Beta] "He is the Akonian that was persuing me." Beta's sphere flickered red with a sound like frying wasps. "The dead Akonian."

A bloodcurdling howl erupted across the dunes. Others answered.

[Jihahli] "He brought friends!" She readied her rifle.

Over the grey sandy soil came a rush of decaying feet. A skeletal akonian dressed in Diaphamus' armour was at the lead. They charged against the Shadowmongers' shileds and began battering at them from all sides. They were surrounded.

He had been running for days; the Plagued were hot on their trail. If it weren’t for the high dexterity, agility, strength and speed Ellerroh was granted for being an Imune they surely would have been caught… Not that that mattered to C`rakahn…

They came to the peak of the hill the had been traveling on, Ellerroh nearly tripped over a tree root when he saw the camp set up ahead – for hes shocked for two reasons: 1, that somebody – ANYBODY – would be so insane as to make camp in the middle of the dead woods, and 2, he wasn’t used to technology at all (in fact he like all of his people regaurded it as magic) but their was so advanced!

[Voro/Vera] The two Shadow Mongers stood back to back. Voro signaled for the Reavers to encircle the camp, while Vera sent an order to the ship for reinforcements. When the reavers were in position. Voro activated the chain-link fence of lasers. The two moved as one, creating a barrier of supply crates around the other two beings. A blade of pure black energy burst from their omnitools. Voro turned to Vera and the others. "You ready for this?" Vera nodded. Voro closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "Shields off..."

Jihahli twitched a shoulder, and a long, thin electrical blade slid out of her wrist in a field of sparks. Her rifle slid into her other hand, the sniper scope folding away and multiple barrels emerging from the front.

She rushed forward suddenly ina blur of bullets and sparks, cutting a swathe through their ranks. Pieces of the timetouched flew into the air and Voro could hear a bout of manaical laughter.

((that girl has an insanely high vertical leap if she is on the other side of the grid...))
[Voro/Vera] The Reavers tore into the undead machines like a pack of rabid dogs, tearing them limb from limb. The rotary canons mounted on their backs fired sustained beams of plasma, slicing through the creatures heads and upper bodies.
Some of the undead tried to charge through the fence...Finding themselves sliced in to cubes of flesh and metal as soon as they reached the other side. Others attempted to leap over the laser grid, some clearing the top, while others were not so lucky. The ones that made it would not last long. Vera grabbed one of the creatures's head with her omnitool and with the other ripped out it spinal column, sweet revenge for when the creatures had devoured her brother and friend. Voro leapt forth and sliced another of the creatures from the top of its head all the way to the bottom of its torso, a clean cut as the two side fell away from each other. The others were dispatched in a similar fashion...

((She does. Very agile. *nodnod*))

After a while, all that was left was a field of shattered pieces all around the campsite. Jihahli fell to her knees, panting.

[Beta] The spheroid tentatively crept out of his cover and stared out at the two shadowmongers. He picked up Diaphamus' helmet from a pile of torn wire and scanned it critically.

[Jihahli] She spoke between deep breaths of the moon's dead air. "That... was brilliant."

[Voro/Vera]"Nice work Jihahli." He turned to Vera. "Go start up the incinerator. We need to get rid of these things." She nodded and headed over to a central building that resembled a blast furnace in many ways. He turned to the Construction machina. "Move these scraps over the incinerator and burn all of it." He made a slight gesture, reactivating the shield dome. He sat down, watching as the machines set to work clearing away the motionless pieces and parts.

She got up and stepped carefuly over the wreckage to Voro. "We almost made a dent in the population and everything!" She punched him playfully in the shoulder.

There was a flash of light as the teleporter activated. When the light faded, the twelve Reavers fanned away from the device as it flashed again. This time two large vehicles stood on the platform. The four legged machines stepped off the platform as well, powering down as soon as they were off. "Arn, Your a little late with those reinforcements."

"Ellerroh, son of Ellerroh the last king of thte eastern tribes... before they were TAKEN" he gritted his teeth at the last bit

Voro snorted as he took a deep breath, not caring who the lean thing that stood before him was. The last few days since he had arrived on this forsaken rock had really run his nerves raw. he stepped away from the group, crossing the open space between them and the 'Hunter' MBT, leaning his back against the sloped front. The term tank probably wasn't best for the walker that was double his height when active. The rounded carapace like shell that covered its inner structure, the insect-like legs, and the tentacles that extended from the forward section, just below the heavy plasma beam to collect scraps and ore, made the vehicle more alien to other species than its operators. He popped the seal that kept him from losing his helmet and slid it off. A shiny black beak tipped his long, toothy reptilian muzzle. Glossy black scales covered the rest of his head, ending at the curve of his lower jaw, where a plume of crimson tipped cobalt feathers grew like a mane around his neck and the top of his skull, a large crest of feather rising as he set the helmet to the side, looking into the orange lenses that protected his toxic purple eyes.
