I know I'm new here but I think we need a new topic seeing as how I busted 2 people this month and that was when I wasn't even in this group. Sorry for the long comment. Keep up the good work.

This guy http://mocpages.com/home.php/19446 has a stolen icon. I'm not sure who is the owner of the picture, but i have seen it on google.

Thanks. Our biggest priority is the use of other builder's images. This icon looks to be off of the web somewhere, but isn't someone else's creation, so I'm okay with it.

We might have been a bit unclear in the past about icons, so I'll throw this out here just for clarity...

We ask builders that use icons with Lego creations to use their own works...because otherwise, it's like taking credit for something they haven't built. It's not illegal, mind you, just impolite.

Use of appropriated non-Lego images like the one pointed out in this thread, isn't a big issue. It's not illegal (since the user isn't involved with selling it, or using it for monitary gain), and it's usually obvious that the user didn't create it himself and isn't taking credit for having created it.

That's my personal stance on it. I haven't spoken to Sean or Chris about it for a while, so if they have a different stance, I'd be glad to hear about it...Sean, in particular, since this site is his baby.
