should i make a report topic? or should i just report them here?

I am glad to see this group expand onto MOCPages. We need a task force like this around these parts.

In reference to that, the difference is that Mark is doing a BLOG of sorts. He's posting links to the original and giving a write up of it. When someone just posts something without permission and without citation, that's where the problem lies. Hope that makes sense. Keep working guys! ~ Chris.

Cool. let us know. And if you (and everyone else) can remember to not only link to the stolen moc, but the original as well, that would REALLY help us out.

Thanks Chris! Having you here will make Brick~Busters far more effective!

As far as screenshots, the reason we do post them is for documenting; this helps the community, LEGO, and site Admins be aware of it and any possible patterns. Of course removal from the swipers' page/site/stream is the goal, without documentation it's not as effective of a deterrent (which is another function of Brick~Busters!) and harder to track & remember "repeat offenders" which may need additional attention (site moderation, account suspension, etc.).

So, if there is a reason you can't screenshot, like "nickeal1" wrote, then at least post the LINK to the swiper's page and the Brick~Busters admin can take a screenshot if needed, OK? Thanks!

Ehh? Aw man, I spent all of 5 minutes on that picture! It's on my page. You could at least look at it... *Sniff*

Hey all

Thought I'd join as the Flickr arm of this noble clan busted someone who'd swiped one of my MOCs, so I owe you!

Good initiative, I've reported stolen MOCs to S.K until now (it works but it's a pain writing him an email) so this gets my vote!

Keep up the good work

I don't know but is it me or ever since this group came into place there have been more stolen creations than ever. I think this group has brought more harm than good in my opinion. I mean I really never seen so many creations stolen in the past 3 days.

Actually, you're only seeing them so much now because the culprits are being brought out into the open with groups like this. This is a good thing. Many of these thieves are getting IP banned from mocpages and won't be able to do this again and hopefully, this will dicourage further scum from trying the same thing.

It's not that more people are stealing, that's been going on forever. It's that more people are actually getting caught! For which, we couldn't be more thankful.

Really? That's probably because you didn't notice them. Now you do.
I didn't know this group until yesterday, but I think it's a good thing. I don't think these kids know about this group and try to keep us busy...if so, they wouldn't copy pics that can be found on google within a minute...

I guess you are right. Sorry for the misjudgement on the group. It is just annoying to see other people steal other people's hard built creations.

And that's why we're here, to put a stop to as much of it as we possibly can. If you find anything PLEASE don't hesitate to tell us about it! Thanks!

I have some issue with the latest postings by E Striker. There is no proof that Fireball02 Hi swiped those mocs. All 4 of his postings were posted on the same day TWO YEARS AGO! 2 of them are even photographed together. The two that are being accused look like old 35mm film rather than any type of digital pic. They're scanned images.

But people jumped on the accusation band wagon when he didn't post photos of some items moved around. If they're old photos, how is he going to do that??

Personally I don't feel comfortable just going around accusing people, and I don't think someone should call out someone for swiping unless they have PROOF!!

99.9% of the time I totally agree with you Heath, but in this case, he was right. We already discussed this in chat and you know the whole story, so I won't bore you with it here. Just wanted to clear the air for everyone on this particular moc... yes, the hanger was swiped and is now deleted. The other mocs I can't account for either way so until I get proof, they're staying.

The first comment I want to make is about consternation. Are these thieves so dumb that they think NO ONE will notice their theft and report it? I mean, I've met some real dodos in my time, but this takes the cake. It's a public forum, people are scanning and viewing all the time. It's like - like stealing the Hope diamond and wearing it on a chain around your neck, at a police convention! Well, I do a lot of viewing but so far I haven't come across any thefts, but I know it's only a matter of time before I do. Huh, it'd be "funny" if the first one I spotted was someone claiming the Zerentrop beam rider! Talk about a sore thumb sticking out! Anyway, keep up the good work guys.
