History of Lego Fire Fighting community project.

Hello every one,

I have decided to start on a little project to help the newer people recognize how far we've come in the community. So I have started a project to trace our roots.

I need to know some information if you are interested in helping.(please e-mail this info to me at paulmckeeveriii@gmail.com)

Who inspired you
When did you come into the community.
and finally, where do you think the community is going in maybe the next 5 years.

If you are able to help me with this. I will assure you that it will be put together nicely and it will be as accurate as possible.

Just get a hold of Paul G, Googstown Fire Dept. http://www.pgoogs.youngstownfire2.com/

Paul G. is considered the communities unofficially-official historian and could give you any information needed.

Ok I have had some contact with him. But I am also looking for your story. Because every one in this community's is connected at some point or time. Like Paul G, Bob, Paul B, Mike L, Jeff C, etc.(which i need to find out names of older guys) So I need to find out yours so i can make a map of it all.

I created the group, so I've got the scoop on what's happened here for the most part

There's a whole lot more to the "community's" history than this group.

I'm afraid I have to agree with Jessie here, and some of what happened here probably should be left in the past and well alone.

You also want to start your story and end it with Eric McDonald, without his imagination i doubt any of us would be here.

The entire community is a legacy he left for us.

James I see your points as valid. But what I am trying to get is what was going on before EB, and before mike left. It's just a thing so that the history of the community isn't lost.

I meant what has happened on this group, mostly considering that this group was the main hub for the LFC for about 3 years

That was precisely the point i was making, Eric helped establish the original M/A groups, while i was still getting lego fire trucks under the Christmas tree.

Ok James why are you opposesd to this. It seems like you are. I'm not trying to argue here or slaughter/boost my name but, I'm trying mostly to show the good history.0 with statements on the bad here and there, but only bad or tragic events.

Wow, get over yourself Paul, i didn't have time to recount my story to you so i ignored the messages about it, assuming Paul G could tell you better than i could. I was trying to get it across to you to start at the start as to speak, thats further back than i can remember, i think the project is a great idea, my only worry is how its going to be presented and how much information you are going to get. The thing to consider is that everyone is going to give you a different tale, and you need to be able to work out whats fact, whats opinion and whats just plain not true. Its a big undertaking and i wish you the best of luck with it Paul.
Start at Sixby's site and talking to Jeff and Paul, they can direct you further.

James, when I sent you a message it was for your story of how you come into the community, not of the community. If you don't want to answer fine, I'll put James Keatly was un-able to comment.

(Also just to clarify, with the last sentence of my previous comment I misspoke I meant to say, Not of the bad thing, The only bad things would be tragic community shaping events.)
