I have a question for anyone who can answer it. I want to know, what races there are exactly. do you just make up your own races, or is there a preset list?

Well, everything listed in the wiki counts as official.

Basicly new races can be invented as long as you find a place and fitting setting for them (We have some open landscape on the eastern continent for example), but new adds should be discussed here.

ok i had an idea of two new races... the new mummies could be a race of lets say humans that in thier home land they are normal and look like humans but a deamon came by and cursed the lands of the people that beacause they are so selfish and snotty (they were very goodlooking people) everytime they left their home land their bodies will get covered in boils and turn grey. lol just a different idea

ok another race placed in the new conitent somewhere by the volcano with a green valley near by. so these people will be a breed of half dwarf with half human called the Glarish

they are built like a rock but arnt selfish like dawrfs. they are very huminarian (heplful with others) and constanally help races on the easturn conient with sending food and suppiles. their valley has been blessed making all the food/animals raised there grow 4 times as fast making these people very well off. they are miners/ blacksmiths/ and warriors. the volcano mountain side has very precios metals in it making the Glarians have a metal combination that no other race with know (very secret) but this metal is very expensive and other the royal guards and spcial troops of the Glarian army avalible to have this armor.

The rich valley make this race under constant attack. The warrior born race weilds axes or longswords swinging them like toys cause of the races massive strength. normal troops have chainmail protection. plate armor is underused as it restricts movement. but the royal guards wear plate armor and so do high ranking commanders.

the draw back on this race is the low reproduction rate. half of normal humans making the race small but fericly defensive of their land. but they are open to immigrants but only in the farm lands to produce the food for the whole land and extra is either traded or sent as gifts to their few allies and cultures of under develop people.

i think this would be a cool race to have Glarian and they live in the land of Glar. (basic huh?)

if im allowed i will need some feed back and will work on a moc.

I'm interested to see how these Glarians may look in a moc. We have so many elven and human races so some more dwarf-relatives would be cool. Also ther're 3 vulcanos now in the eastern continent so we'll find a place for them.

But i'm not sure about the mummies to be honest, the old empire will have mummifaction so let them just be mummies. The basic idea could be included in the empire's culture/history. Some undead cursed people may fit.

By the way, i just came up with 2 new races/creatures as well to be presented in one of my new mocs. The Icemen and harpies. More details later.

Definitive medieval. Lightly steampunk possible for dwarves or goblin tribes but elves would avoid technology if possible. To be honest, i'm personal not a fan of mixing steampunk with classic fantasy.

Still exist but you can expand content to them. Vampires are known as Vladeks.

Thank you, they are called Vladeks or is that their less common names? and actually I have come up with an idividual because a race would require to many figs. haha

It's the political correct term. Depends on which perspective you write from. Most human cultures in Legonia only know them from rumours and many as vampires.

What if instead of a big race I just added one person, his story could be he was sent by the DemonGods (I think that is what they were refered to as) or the Gods.

Be sent from demongods make you beeing a demon. If he's a human or something else with magical power he can follow a demongod, have a pact with him or being his highpriest on earth.
