Quoting Chris Blessing
I was wondering, can we submit structures that can simulate something general, such as a building from the 1900s or a townhouse?
Sure, just go ahead. As long as it has to do with architecture it's OK.

Brutalism is one of my favourite styles of architecture and Lego works as a good medium to recreate it. I've only built one brutalist building in the Hoover Building though. Has anyone else built anything in the Brutalist style? Permalink | January 5, 2009, 3:18 am |

I haven't tried it yet, but I would really like to build some. I am now working on one building from my home town. It is an art pavillion made at the end of 19th century. Permalink | January 5, 2009, 4:05 am |

Hi - thanks for the invite. I've been a architecture fan for decades, stemming out of a love of Frank Lloyd Wright. I added some of the Micropolis buildings that we are making for the TwinLUG group build. That's been fun. I'll check back and see what's happening. garth Permalink | January 5, 2009, 7:41 pm |

I've recently uploaded some photos. How do I get these photos to appear in the Brick Architecture group? Should it happen automatically or is there some button I needed to toggle or perhaps I just need to ask?
Thanks Arthur Permalink | January 11, 2009, 12:13 pm |

You need to add your creations to the group manually. There is a link above creations in the group (on the right side) that says "add your own". And there you will get the window to add your creations to the group.

I added my Medival house to the group. I don't belong to any castle groups. I tried to make it as simple as I thought it might be for the time. It's after the 1200's but don't have a definate date in mind. That's when the fireplace was invented according to Wikipedia. see ya. garth Permalink | January 13, 2009, 11:34 am |

Wow, it's been since Jan last that there was a comment. Where the heck have i been? I got tired of the groups there for a while. I got a feeling I wasn't alone. I haven't ever been a consistant chat room user anyway.
I added my bank to the group. It's got a castle theme. I kind of imagined that this might be the solution to a client's wish that their new bank might have a secure feeling to it. What's more secure than a casle, especially since it's called Castle Bank. I'm imagining that is the town's name and the builder, and there might not have been an architect involved, used the available elements from the building material suppliers who have premade concrete and stone decorative pieces. Lots of manufacturers in the day.
