Quoting Steef de Prouw
Hello! I have a bit of a problem regarding the finals of the olympics. I am going away on a 16 day holiday starting early next Saturday. I'll be away from any lego and most probably also any internets for that period.
I've e-mailed Chris about this some weeks ago, and I understand that he is a busy man. I also don't want to make this his problem. He told me not to worry, but I am worrying now!
The point of this thread: I would like to ask the judges to vote for my opponent regardless of their opinion about our MOCs. I think you'll all agree that Kevin has also done very well until now. He is probably going to beat me regardless ;-)
Cheers!
In my defence, I didn't know how long these MOC olympics would take (this is my first six or seven months on mocpages), so I readily said yes when I was asked to join, months ago. Furthermore, I never dreamt of making it as far as I have now.
I do regret having to drop out now, because it has been tremendous fun. Thanks to all involved for making this so awesome!
I can't speak for the other judges, but I'd like to see how the match comes out first. If you get the win, you can drop out at that point, and Fedde could move on to the final round.
Of course, there's the chance Fedde will smoke you anyway...you guys have both had an AMAZING run in the competition.
Anyway, I'll abide by whatever decision the rest of the judges want to go with. Meanwhile, thanks for the heads up, and sorry to hear you have to bail...but, such is life.
Great job this year, and thank you so much for putting 110% into your matches!
