1: Yes, but none of you aside from maybe Lee has enough money. (kidding. No, I don't)

2: Let's hope we don't have to find out. I'm gonna give you a couple minutes to "fix" anything that needs fixing. Put it this way, if the match is a close one, the judges may use that as the final criteria. I wouldn't "forget" anything if I were you.

My thoughts on names, links, etc.

They are ALL part of the entry. If you don't provide the information which are set forth by the rules, then your entry is not complete.

Its about following instructions.

...and we'll discuss bribes AFTER all you guys make my life easy by following instructions.

~dave

Oh ^$&%*! I need to go and delete an edit to my entry. I will lay bare my soul here: I knew about the part of putting a link to the other guy's site, but missed it. I read a comment, won't say whose, and I remembered to do that, so without further thinking, I did it. But you are totally right, it is my bad and there should be no editing after posting, even if it was within an hour or so. I will go and remove that link, thus returning my entry page to its previous erroneousness, so the judges can take points from me for my oversight.

I just was not thinking; I was not, in any way, cheating. Black ball me as needed. I want to emphasize, NOTHING else was changed, just that one thing, and it has been removed thus restoring the entirety of the page to its "pre-special edition" condition.

every judge has their standards and I respect each of their decisions. They're word is FINAL on ALL decisions. I CANNOT over rule the other judges despite this being "my baby."

That being said, I would prefer you to make sure there's a link there (I don't care if you altered it a few minutes after your original post) cause it will make not only my job easier, but people in the future who weren't around during the games, will be able to see you and your opponent's post easier. Just my thoughts on it. Do what you think is "right."

Good luck! ~ Chris.

Question for Brian K.

How jealous are you of Dave Sterling right now. Hello Kitty Mech vs. Dawn Forge in a battle to the . . . cosmetics counter.

Well, the topic IS questions for the judges, isn't it?

Well, I think that if you forget about something while uploading, it's only natural that you edit it (as long as you do that before judging). No page comes out perfect at first upload, after all...

I noticed that you said that you would give the people competing "a few minutes to fix things that need fixing." Well, I have fixed those things, and the only reason it was not done sooner was because I was away, and it was within the deadline. I don't think it's fair that I am losing because a formality, plus I was really looking forward to competing in the MocOlymplics.

I'm game for that. Hey Brian...wanna do a collaborative display at Brickworld 2010? Dawn Forge versus my Hello Kitty Death Squad? I could put together a few more mechs for that. :-)

I would pay for you to do that.

Okay, so I've got a "real" question. I'm in Short-Story and I've looked at all the examples fromthis year and last year. I'd really like to use a know story and represent it visualy. Is that copasetic? (it's a little tale about a penguin who builds a polar bear mech... jk!)

Of course. My entry last year was based off of a well known fable about a frog and a scorpion... or something like that.

Hopefully this is not a "creative" question. Can't hurt to ask (I hope)...

SigFig Adventures - There's the "purely sigfig MOCs" and there's the "real (mis)adventures of sigfigs", which includes real people. After reading the category description several times, I'm still not sure if this category only refers to the former assumption.

So is this category open to interpretation?

If yes, that means real adventures is allowed. If no, then my assumption was correct.

Y or N?

Thanks!

(And don't shoot and/or tase, hehe ...)

Question: If someone got, say, Microscale, would they be able to build something that has a relation to their previous micro builds?

e.g. Garth Danielson builds something entirely new for the Olympics, but belongs to teh city of Micropolis?

That would be completey fine.

Now, that being said (and this is NOT directed at you Topsey, I'm just putting this out there for everyone) rememeber that the judges can tell if you've spent more than the alloted time frame on your build. There was an issue last round with someone using a moc that was built before the round began so please know that if you (again, not YOU Topsey) try to use something that you built before the round, the judges can figure it out.

Just had to get that out there. Sorry to make it look like I was singling you out Topsey, I wasn't.

Good luck to everyone! ~ Chris.

That's a grey area. let's say that you post it and an hour later or so, you forgot that you didn't add a link. The judges haven't judged it yet so yeah, that would be fine.

HOWEVER, let's say that you post your entry and your opponent posts the next day. He CLEARLY beat you so you decide to post something new in hopes of winning the round. Then NO, that is not allowed and if you try, you WILL be disqualified.

Hope that clears it up for ya.

You haven't been paying attention have you? But since I'm in a fairly good mood today (Just scored a cafe corner, Indiana Jones chase set and two... yes TWO Fire brigades all for under 300 bucks) I'll tell ya...

You want your creation to look like one of the classic space sets that was produced in the 80's by the lego company... pretty sure there was something to that effect in the category discription... but oh well.

Can I include MOCs that were already built in my sig fig adventures if it is just an random side prop? You won't even see the whole, thing, just is being used to take up space. (and, and you are in that scene, so don't have it be deleted please, for your sig fig's sake)After all, the sig fig adventures is about humor, not MOCs really.

Nope. There's plenty of creative ways to make a piece "float" that don't include photoshop.

Nope. We already had some issues with people reusing stuff. If it's such a basic piece, then there shouldn't be a problem doing another small piece to take it's place. Please DON'T reuse stuff.
