We at Pathetic Productions, Ltd. are seeking to learn the identity of the creator of the graphic art that contains reference to our copyrighted character Chip Philson. If necessary, we will seek a court injunction in order to cease the use of the Chip Philson name, image, or likeness thereof.
Unless, of course, the creator happens to be a member in good standing of the Chip Philson Fan Club. If so, please notify us at the firm of Dewey, Cheatham, and Howe by replying to this thread.
Thank you, and block on!

That's what I keep trying to tell you people. "Chip Philson" and "Chris Phipson" are not the same person. I'm a member of the fan club, but it's not me. Permalink | August 13, 2009, 6:10 pm |

To clarify: Chip Philson is the name of a fictional character created by Heather LEGOgirl and me. Chris Phipson is indeed a member in good standing of the Chip Philson Fan Club, but he is NOT CHIP. In fact, the character of Chip is the intellectual property of the creators (look for him in the comic "Blockocop" in late September!). We have agreed that any CPFC member in good standing may use the character without permission, but non-members may not without our express written consent. Thank you!

Dude, can you see the look on the judge's face when I tell him I'm suing myself? Even Judge Judy would laugh her fanny off! Permalink | August 16, 2009, 5:52 pm |

-- Dennis (acting on behalf of Heather, too) Here's me... being the nag i'm so great at being. Is there any way i could be in the Chip Philson Fan Club? Because seriously, i saw Chris' Brickworld 2009 and i would pay for one of those t shirts.

NO. Chip is a fictional character I created with the help of Heather LEGOgirl. Yes, he looks like one version of Chris Phipson's sig fig and his name sounds similar, but that's it. Chip is an everyman action hero/comedy star we created for telling stories and having fun. To clarify, Chris is NOT Chip and vice-versa. Chris is indeed a member of the Chip Philson Fan Club and does have the same rights and privileges any member does when it comes to the character. This means if you're not a club member, the character is essentially off-limits to you without my permission. For the record, the club members are: Dennis Price, Heather Braaten, Lee Jones, Mark Kelso, Dave Sterling, Stacy Sterling, Alex Eylar, Chris Phipson, and George Kemper. Brian Kescenovitz is an honorary member, mainly because he conned Chris into giving him a piggyback ride and giving me one of the best laughs of Brickworld -- except for the moment when Chris first saw the Chip t-shirts. Nothing could top that! Permalink | September 8, 2009, 9:00 pm |

While Chris is the physical property of Lee, his pimp.

Now that, my young friends, is what we call smack talk -- except in this case, it's actually true. Permalink | September 9, 2009, 6:03 pm | |
