As for WHAT we will be playing with this year... no Kelso, not that, there will be a few changes. Of course we will have a few of the old favorites like classic space and whateverscape, but I'd like to throw some new ideas in this year. Any suggestions?

If there's no age limit, I have some young friends who would love a Bionicle category (but most dont'have much resources). I'd say... Best Bionicle Basic Set? (50 to 70 pieces)

What about parodies? Best parody of an official or ongoing original theme? I am sure some guys (Nadroj, Ranjo, Wolke, etc) would pull out insane stuff!

Based on last years categories, I think that these might add to the MocOlympics: military, comics, vignette, or SMEM (SigFig Most Embarrassing Moments.)

OR, something along the lines of Americas Funniest Lego Videos. Like a skit or story in which something funny happens because of someone's misjudgment.

I think post-apoc would be a good addition to the categories. Especially since so many people enjoy the theme.

Yeah you could do that but... the judges won't give you the win (especially if this years contest is anything like last years).

okay, so it sounds like people want to put in a halo category, but star wars, transformers, and other sci-fi things have come up as well. we should make a category that includes all sci-fi themes that have been made into video games, movies, or comic books. that would bundle halo, star wars, transformers, superheroes, etc.

exactly. already existing fiction themes. and they don't have to be sci-fi either. depending on how broad we want this category, we could throw in fantasy stuff like lord of the rings, or even more random things like, say, the Flintstones or Pokemon. a competative pokemon moc would be pretty cool, I think. I haven't really seen a good minifig scale pokemon yet.
