The one in question is a starwarser. So was at least one of the others who also did that.
They cannot spell, it makes sense that they cannot read either.

Not necessarily; I hate people who cannot spell and act like small children.

I have quite a nice, grown up conversation going in a group that will remain un-named, with someone who has a title of sorts. And yet, he is intelligent and acts reasonable, unlike others, who also will go un-named.

Methinks dropping the aforementioned mutant mold on YOU would be a good idea; leave the poor savages alone and give the stuff to the people who deserve it.

I care not for physical age; MENTAL age is what I care about. If you are ten years old and act like a thirty-five year old, that is good. On the other hand, if you are a thirty-five year old who acts like a child of ten years, not so good. I have encountered people like that.

If you want to be taken seriously on the internet, LEARN. TO. WRITE.

Laziness is no excuse for bad grammar. Intelligent conversation is the goal of more people than just me.

If mocpages was the way I wanted it, I would have to approve absolutely everything anyone did or posted. I would be Big Brother, and bannings would be given to all who displayed open immaturity.

Well,Im pretty sure you come from England or America.
You can spell perfectly and you are a person with strong opinions and seem to enjoy a discussion.
I do not come from an English talking land,so my grammar arent perfect.
And Im not over eighteen.
Many I know,at my age, cant even spell nearly as good as me,chuck norris or many others.
Sometimes I find it irritating that people write like this:
ZoMGG!Ur cretion is so gud i Want instructians.
Ur teh best .
But minor spelling mistakes, like when I said leasts instead of lasts, should be ignored.
You got to ignore such thing when Mocpages is a website where Legobuilders from all over the world, post their creations.
Me as a Norwegian isnt as good in spelling as an Englisman or American.
In my opinion,I deem myself capable of an intelligent conversation, even if I have minor spelling mistakes.
I do not mean to offend, but you got to take some critc.
So try to ignore some spelling mistakes, and
a ten year old boy with a thirty year old mind would be horrible.
You will have to have some immature side if you are going to have fun.

So you would ban anyone that is acting like what a 10 year old. How would you know if someone is older than they act if you had everyone tell you exactly how old they were they could lie. The only way to tell how old someone actually is would be to use illegal methods like hacking their computers and then stock them

I am going from IRL experience here with regards to age.

I do ignore minor spelling errors.
I also am not over eighteen, but I do not come from yankland. Neither do I belong to the land of Eng.
Or Aussie, but that's pretty close. I come from a little further south, midway between the south pole and tassie.

You as a Norwegian, with english as a second language, can use it better than some natives I have met, such as those weird americans who cannot spell and act all patriotic on the 'net before hiding when the draft boys come along IRL.

We haven't had a draft since Vietnam, som 30-40 years ago. At least not that I or anyone else know of...

My point is: I hate people who can't spell and write correctly as well. (If English is their first language, and they aren't a kid. If you're not from an english speaking country, it's fine. English is a hard language.) Kids can get away with it, it's their nature. Adults can't. And those of us in between who know punctuation and spelling too can't get away with it either.

"OMG wat r u doin" Is fine for online games where you need to say something fast becaue you're busy doing something important.

It irks me though when that spills over into places like this where you have time to type things out right. And don't even get me started on people who don't capitalize.

You WILL have a draft. Trust me. It's what happens in times like this.

Even in multiplayer, I take great care with my grammar. Admittedly it has gotten me killed occasionly, but I usually play the Mechwarrior games so there is usually plenty of typing time before the enemy finishes reloading.

...I believed this site was about too many uploads. I think there also should be a rule about all the STAR WARS creations. I like star wars, but not when its just a droid here, and a clone here, and a Jedi sigfig who is a incredible hero and is sooo amazing that he destroys deathstars with just one hand....
What about only 1 star wars creation per builder, and the other 2 about something else...

Now that's just not fair. Take me for example. Most of my Star Wars MOCs are more than figures, with the expetion of about 3. They're not bad, but they aren't the greatest.

If there was only one Star Wars MOC per builder, well, that would be stupid (no offense to you). What would happen to all the builders who do good, or at least decent Star Wars MOCs? Would they just have to choose one to keep while the others go, or cram it all onto one page?

I would love to see all the crappy Star Wars MOCs go, it'd take up less space, but a part of this website for me is to improve. With time, most of the crappy builders will turn into good or decent builders. Do you get what I'm saying?

When did anyone here even say we think we are the best? And were pretty dam* good if you ask me. I don't feel like being the "steryotypical American" in this situation, but you don't think our military deserves respect? My great grandfather was almost killed in WWII. One day he and a buddie were walking on patrol and my grandfather spotted a German gunner in a tree. A bible that was in his breast pocket stopped the machine gunners round from penitraiting all the way to his heart. The man next to him took six rounds to the stomach and three to the chest (his story was very precise, much like the story of how he got a German sword and a Luger from a Lieutenant, but those stories are for another day. He still has that stuff, but pictures are not around. I could take some, but this is very off-topic.) and was killed. Later, my grandfather wrote home to the poor mans wife, telling her that her husband was dead. Of course the military sent out a KIA form but that didn't arrive till much later. My point here is is that the American military may seem glorified, but during WWII things were much different. Now, we (all tech advanced countrys, not JUST the US.) have state-of-the art tech that makes war seem like a game, something that is harmless. Really. Have you played COD4? I'm not saying the game is exactly like live fighting, but its close to it. A lot less riskier in a sense. (Duh, you have a controler or a mouse, not an actual weapon.) Yet again, my point is don't be so judgmental because our country is brave and will defend itself, and I like to think that we have the most powerful military. There are a lot of countries that rival us in numbers, but a 3-million German army fell to us and our Allies. We could'nt have won without those allies. So quit badmouthing my country and stop picking fights with people. No one here likes it, and I can't stand writing these rants, but I have to say something when you talk that way.

*Might wanna read the update. I can't help being like that, up there. Because that's what I think. So whatever Areesta. I'm shure there's a reason you like to pick fights. Is it because really you are some fat little New New Zealand kid who has gotten ahold of a thesaurus and some Pepsi Max? Or is it because no one here knows why, and you like to act "mysterious"? Maybe it's because you wanna sound like the tough guy, I don't really know, these are just shots in the dark. I'm pretty confident with number one, though. So there are a bunch of reasons. Pick your favorite. I'm done here.

The US military is one of the most powerful in the world. Right now, I don't know of any stronger military.

US citizens, usually liberal, don't have the stomach for a war lasting longer than a few months.

As far as claiming that the US is best: the best country, whatever it is, still makes mistakes; that's a fact. Yes, the US has been wrong, but that is not automatic disqualification for being the best. If the US is not the best, then what country or countries top the US? This is not a challenge, it's merely a curiosity. For those that say that the US is not the best because of mistakes, then tell us which country is better.

Don't use the fact that someone you know is/was in the military. For every person in the military, there is at least one person not in the military who knows them. This doesn't help any general war/military arguments at all. My sympathy goes out to all those that have lost someone in the armed forces.

I support the soldiers who fight for my freedom to say what I am saying and I fully appreciate their service.

I am a US citizen, an American, and proud of my country, be it the best or the worst in the world.

Who am I to judge my country?

Hiroshima,
Nagasaki,

Not to sound like some cazy American patriot, which I'm not, but those nuclear bombings actually saved a lot of lives. Ever heard of Operation Downfall? Also known as the Invasion of Japan. It was cancelled when they surrendered though. Since you seem to know a lot, I'm no going to go further into details than that, assuming you know what this is.

The death toll was in the millions for both sides. I, and many others of my generation, might not be here right now if that invasion went a head (my grandfather was getting ready to ship out to the Pacific Theatre when the war ended). If he had died in the invasion, along with a bunch of other people, some of us wouldn't be here.

And let's not get started on the Japanese casualties. Those were in the tens of millions I beleive. So, the question is, how many more would be dead without the bombings?

Hey,I my sound crazy, but the Nuke saved lives you know, first of all,it ended the wars and taught Japan a lesson, besides, who helped Japan clean up?The US.
And,second of all,The Nuke wouldn't have been launched if Japan wasn't so foolish to to pull us into their war.remember pearl harbor?that was the japanese. If they had left us out of their war, millions of lives could have been saved, because then the US wouldnt have gotten involved, but if you mess with the US,you will pay the price. - Hunter

Oh, I'm fine with OURS, at least they have a good reputation.

The US has a bad rep?and why would that be?I never said they had a bad reputation, but you can't get a bad rep by doing nothing you know. I am not really glad about it,but the US army is ready to move and fight alongside their allies anytime. They will go halfway across the world to end some political squabble. You wanna know why the US is in the Iraq?to end terror, and that doesn''t just mean in the US you know, terror is everywhere, you hear about asia last thanksgiving?many were killed because some crazy terriosts raided a bunch of hotels!I really wish you would stop blaming our troops for doing bad things, because they are NOT.and by the way, malmedy isn't our fault if a bunch of Nazis killed our troops....I mean what would say if that happened to your nation, would it be your fault?

If you ask me, we're over there to get oil as well.

And if you ask me again, is we give the auto industry money, make them design cars that don't use oil. The Japanese did (it was Honda that made the Hydrogen fuel-cell car, right?), so why can't we?

The Japanese did that because they are crazy. Have you seen some of the things they make.

If we are there for the oil, then where is it? Iraq has a gigantic surplus and we are NOT getting a single drop of it. We should definitely get the oil as payment for liberating the Iraqis and to pay for our services. However, the US has a policy of not asking for anything in return other than a place to bury our fallen soldiers, that's it. Where is the oil?

We have the technology to develop so many things including hydrogen fuel cell cars, if not that then reliable hybrids or electric cars. We also have the technology to incorporate biometrics into guns to only allow certain people to be able to discharge a firearm, which would save many children's lives. Why don't we do it? Very good question. This is politics and it usually interferes with what the majority of the people think and want. Hopefully President Obama will help us direct enough effort into developing and commercializing oil-less vehicles for us.

Well, our previous administration made torture a policy. So why not ask for oil? Goverments have secrets... Maybe I just hate the old adminisration, but I wouldn't put it past them to take some oil and hide it from the general public.

Gee, this has really gotten off topic... I myself agree with the '3 max limit' and have hence uploaded my 3 best creations. To the admins: you really need to put something in the group rules, rather than just in this thread, if you want people to notice. It's really not that obvious...

America has a thing against "Cruel and unusual punishment". It's the 8th Admendment of the Constitution. So what they authorized was unconstitutional.

And you just raised a month long thread from the dead, son.

TO. WRITE.
And how is it good if a 10 year old acts like a 35 year old? Seriously, you need to loosen up, have some fun. Not trying to be offensive or anything but enjoy being young while you still can!

The constitution only applies to citizens of the United States. Not terrorists from other countries.

Hey look! Another topic necromancer!

To reply to that, if we think those rights only apply to us because the constitution says so... And, even if we chose not to give them those rights, we still have Geneva to answer to. Not that we care about it anyway...

I have personally nothing against torture as a method to gain information (considered it always revealed to be inaccurate at best), yet I condemn it if used for fun, as too often happens on ANY side. Btw, power=right. It has always been this way and it will always be (except in Star Trek).

Well said! I am an American, but some of my own countrymen destroy the English language on a daily basis. Although, I do agree that rules are posted for a reason and should be followed. If I have 3 MOCs posted and want to add a 4th, I will delete one of the first 3.
