I've been sorting my lego's this weekend and I want to know if you people on the Pages had any tips on sorting them. Thanks, Masked

I sorted my pieces by color, and since I don't have many boxes I used ziploc bags to put my pieces in.

Really? I didn't know that you had. It's especially hard when you have upwards of 14,000 bricks.

8,000! i have around 10,000 just in loose bricks plus many assembled mocs! Oh and i also have the VW Beetle set which adds another 2300, and i have two plastic bags of unsorted so i would say i have around 16,000 Oh and my sisters collection that she never uses! 500 more bricks there!

Is that a guess, or are you actually literally counting or using a website like brickset to count your pieces?

I sorted the parts when i sorted them and write down how many pieces i have of each. Thats for the sorted pieces. The rest is guessing.

Well, you know those those basi boxes with around 500 parts in one colour that came out around five-six years ago, i bought three in red and two blue, one yellow and one green.

I bought some plastic organization boxes from Walmart and those have really helped. I sort my pieces by type or what they are used for. For example, I'll have a container for greebling pieces, one for regular bricks, etc. It works really well, and I have over 18,000 pieces according to Brickset!
