I was talking with Erik Ackroyd and we came to talk about this.

One thing we should mention to the LEGO ambassadors, is that LEGO should incoporate Pick-a-Brick in toystores like Toys-R-Us, or make individual stores as to where it would allow FOL to better acquire individual pieces instead of going thru third-party sites.

There aren't enough P-A-B stores around the country and for reasons stated above, it's tough getting the pieces we need. For example, In Florida, in the entire State, there is only 1 Pick-A-Brick Lego store in Orlando FL. I live in South Florida and go to Orlando for Universal Studios, Disney, etc. etc. Rarely. I always make sure my parents stop by Downtown Disney to make sure I get some pieces. Obviously, I would normally go to my local TRU store, but there is no P-A-B setup there. My parents aren't going to drive 4 hours to Orlando and 4 hours back every time I want to go to buy LEGO at a P-A-B store. It just doesn't work out. I hope the LEGO Ambassadors will do something about this if their "power" allows them too.

Thank you for your time.

Also, There aren't ANY Pick-A-Brick stores in some states. Don't believe me? http://stores.lego.com/en-us/default.aspx Click on the United States tab and see for yourself. I hope that Erik and I can raise awareness about this issue. I hope that the nominees will see this. Spread the word.

There are some in Germany, and the United Kingdom. I suggest you bring up that issue for wherever you live.

No, I already copy/pasted it too all of the major nominees' MOCs. Don't spam the entire community, when people will look at the nominees' MOCs, they will see my comment. Don't worry, Erik and I have this all figured out. Thanks for the support but we have it taken care of.

I'm not sure what Ambassadors would be able to do about that. I have a strong feeling that they're not going to put PAB walls in Toys R Us stores. It's just not feesible to expect TRU employees to watch over the PAB wall in a store that size. But rest assured, your pleas for help have been heard and if I am lucky enough to be chosen as an ambassador, I'll be sure to forward this concern to LEGO. See, just because I have access to 4 different PAB walls within a half hour of my house, doesn't mean I don't care. HAHAHA

LOL! Well, Erik and I looked over the rules and what the Ambassadors could and couldn't do, and suggesting ideas was something they could do so we decided to raise awareness, Thanks for the support Chris. *does happy dance* On the TRU thing, we were using that as an example, but We'd really love to see more stores in more states. And multiple ones at that, to allow easy access. It's something we NEED to see happen, or the idea approved, this year or in the near future. I hope Erik and I get credit for proposing this. :P -Alex and Erik.

Ditto. But I doubt we are the only ones that have raised question/idea to the LEGO Group. Of all the years they've been in business, I'm pretty sure they have been faced with this before. Even so, it's generally best to present such items again as to renew an interest.

If I get chosen and if it's in my power to do so, I'll let them know. One other thing you have to remember is location location location. In business, you have to ask yourself, is there going to be enough business to warrant putting a store "here?" Now, you said you lived in southern Florida right? I'm not sure exactly what part you're talking about but I'm familiar with the area. I lived on the gulf coast for a number of years and my dad lives in Cape Coral now. That area for instance, couldn't support a lego store. Now, if you're talking Miami, that's a different story. Like I said, I'll see what I can do... "IF" I'm chosen as an ambassador.

I live in a small town called Weston, about an hour from Miami. I wouldn't mind going to Miami, it's nearby. But Weston has many plazas with much construction, and alot of room where Lego could build a store. Ten minutes from Weston, there's Sunrise/Sawgrass, home of the Sawgrass Mall. Much room there, as well as plazas and alot of shops and stores being built there. Those are 3 ideal locations where Lego could build a store, and I'm sure other MOCpages members could propose locations in their state where one could be built. It could be expensive I'm sure, but the MOCpages and overall Lego community would become more active due to PAB stores in the area. We could be seeing more Conventions and events being planned by LEGO in those areas which means local LUGs will become more active and etc. etc. Just something else to think about.

Do you think it's possible to put some PAB in Canada? That would really help me and other FOLs. The town's called Vernon, and it's in B.C. (British Columbia) Thanks~Aidan

The one in Florida? I live in Florida, and I think it's pretty small, but it's still good though.
