Quoting Tom Reinacher AKA. Darth Craven
I learned by picking it up in America. I stayed there for some time actually. And for those from England it's obvious where you learned to speak English! :-)

=O How dare you! In the Roman times, we spoke English and Latin, while Americans spoke Spanish!

I learned it the fun way,
GAMES and movies,
In belgium, outside movies aren't translated (except those for small children) so we see a lot of american and british movies in English.
And I happen to play console games occasionnally and there often isn't a "Dutch" option in the game so I'm forced to play it English.

oh yeah, almost forgot, at school I learned some important basics, like how to speak proper english and the tenses, structures.
Though I learned most of my English via games and movies.

Actually I think English is the easiest language, very structural.

Well it was my first language, though I'm Welsh. I picked up Welsh as a second language from my school, and hello is Bore Da! Neat isn't it?

I learned it by watching movies. Of course, school was also very important. It's way easier than portuguese.

Well i'm from England so i think you can guess how I learned to speak English! I want to take German and Italian when the Italian teacher comes back. I was also top in the class at french, but I didn't take it as a GCSE because it was getting boring and one year was enough.
