I don't have treds, so i can't really do this, but why don't you guys try this.

On a smaller minifig scale, treads won't be need. what you need is two plastic pieces that look like treads. It similar to what you got on the wed tredwell in the sandcrawler star wars lego set. I will get to work on it right away.

I have just built it. I will be posting it this week. I do have a disclaimer though:
I was looking on MOCPages, and I found that small treaded designs look earily alike. If you see a design on there that looks like the one I will post, then it probably is. There is only so much that you can do for this. It is a similar design to that on the sandcrawler treadwell.

In LeoCAD (my digital LEGO program of choice), one can choose from one-piece treads or one can assemble treads from tread links into the needed shape.
