I've recently had a breakage with one of my PF medium motors. i can plug it in, but no matter what i do it won't turn, the wire is not damaged in any way, nor is anything on the exterior of the motor or connector.

Has anybody had this problem before, and if so how did you fix it?

Sofar I've had only had an older non-PF motor fail on me. The axle would turn but very slowly and it took more energy to turn the motor spindle. When I opened up the motor I found the failure was caused by the motor's brush contacts had worn out - the brush contact was within this assembly so the entire assembly had to be replaced ( of course there's no way to get a replacement part). I ended up buying a replacement motor over bricklink. The motor was part of my 1st gen mindstorm kit(RIS). BTW If you have PF LED you can test your pf m-motor by connecting the PF LED to your m-motor electrical connectors and then mechanically turn the m-motor's axle at 100 rpm - if your motor still is working then the LEDs will light up.

I've had this issue happen not only to a medium PF, but also to an XL. Very frustrating and no good way to open either. I have tried the PF light idea, and neither of them work. Looks like the recycle bin is the best place for them...

yeah, i tried the lights, but it didn't work, i geuss the connector's gone...

I tore it apart and found nothing wrong externally. Must be something with the connector..
