In the HALO video games, the main chacter (John 117) wears MJOLNIR Mark IV Powered Assault Armor(And another type, during the first of the three...). Do you guys think that it is a Hardsuite? Check it out here: http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Image:Chief_%26_Arbiter_looking_good.gif

I wouldn't mind seeing a lego version here. Is M.K. going to refence this to Samus again? =P

Although a small one, I would definitely call it that. That said, it's so small that everyone just makes decals instead of making a chief suit. That's where the fail begins.

i don't think it is a hardsuit because hardsuits generally add extensions onto the arms. so it fails because it is tooooo small.

Well if the Borg armour passes, this had better pass, Spartan armour is more like a hardsuite than Borg armour anyway...

oh. okay. I see how it is. I leave for a couple of days and you guys decide to bash my samus references... :) but seriously I think this one passes seeing as how it is worn, can pick up weapons, enhances the user, ect.
pass.

OH NO, Metroid Killer, it was Pete who bashed your continual references to that certain-orange-armor-wearing love-interest of yours, not I!

Haha, M.K. I think Samus makes a good reference point for hardsuits. In fact, while you were away, I invited people who moc'ed Samus suits. Hence the flood in the pool.

yeah well... she did make history you know, first major female lead in a video game... Laura Croft and others came much later. anyway yes, she is a great reference point when it comes to Hardsuits, by the way, did anyone notice that we're up on the main page? we're under featured groups or whatever that is

I know, she is pretty cool too, my only complaint is her weird art style...BUT again you are leaving the topic, "Spartan 117" is the topic. Why don't you create a "Samus Aran" discussion thread, MK?

Ooo, are we? We are? On the front page? Awesomeness. I guess it's ok to be a little off topic.

Wouldn't you consider Iron Man a hardsuit? I say that yes it is a hardsuit.

The master chief wears a hardsuit. ODST armor isn't a hardsuit. If you have read the novels the suit amplifies all his movments. In the fall of Reach when the SPARTANS get their Mj (i can't spell it) they can't use hand movements because the might hurt themselves.

I was thinking, and the armor is Mass Effect... might that be a hard suit? Just wondering, but, IT is definitely a mechanical exoskeleton of some sort.

Which armor are you thinking of? From what I have heard there are different ones...

The armor is different styles and weight, but it's all the same general idea. It has deflector shields and life-support and all that stuff.

AH, sounds like hardsuits to me! But for the sake of staying ON topic, I will start a Mass Effect armor topic, so we can chat about that there and get back to Spartan 117...

um... no, double post as in posting two different messages with no one else in between the two.

if you post the same message twice I'll just delete one of the two without comment.

No more discussion is needed on this, lets try to get back to the actual topic.

The other Kind is MJOLNIR mark V

YES, that's it...I am such a genius...Anyway, it looks like I will be locking this topic as everyone is straying OFF topic and we have already resolved that: "The Armor worn by super soldiers in the Spartan program" are hardsuites...Thanks for the feed back guys, you can continue to converse on John 117's armor, but this is your last chance before this topic gets locked down...
