Hardsuit check-Borg
 Group admin
"you will be assimilated..." fine by me, as long as I get a Hardsuit in the process... so do I? what do you guys think?

http://assimilated.pl/borg.gif

for those unfamiliar with star trek next generation or voyager the borg are a collection of "assimilated" humanoids that have been heavily out fitted with cybernetic augments that aid them in assimilating more people and make them near-invincible... they are by far the scariest thing ever to come out of star trek. and a very weird idea of where the future may be going... so pass or fail?...-M.K.

Interesting conundrum. If this passes in the supreme court, I can think of a whole host of characters, from D.V. to R.C.

I'll let the fans decide.

First of all, "MK", I enjoy watching ONE episode of StarTrek once in a while, they kinda' get boring with SO much talking, so I am not much of a "Trekie". I don't think I would call the borg's amour a suite, because it doesn't cover their full body(In the Voyager series anyway...) BUT it does protect and give them an advantage to a normal human, so it might be sci-fi amour, but not a hardsuit.

doesn't cover their whole bodies huh? neither do most of the hard suits we're posting, everyone's head is sticking out of ours... and it is not, in fact, part of their bodies, it is a mechanical device attached to them that responds to neural signs(sounds familiar, no?)... and Pete, i own every last beautiful episode of TOS, though I enjoy TNG and what I have seen of DS9 as well...-M.K.

Yeah, I'm thinking it's more along the lines of armor than a Hardsuite.

but their armor is actually attached to their bodies, not removable.(i don't actually watch the show, i just know enough to know kinda what your talking about, so pleeeez don't get mad if i am actually wrong)

Wouldn't one thing that makes a hardsuit a hardsuit be that you can crawl in and out of it?

I wouldn't know, I have never been to "Chuckie-Cheese's"...I prefer not to be trampled by "crazy-out-of-control kids". So I simply stay away from such establishments...

Caleb's right lets stay somewhat on topic... while it is important to remember what we were talking about it is also good to know more about each other and sometimes learn new things, like the "greebles" offshoot we had on one of my other topics. so just try and keep to passing or failing the hardsuit in question, in this case the borg, but smile side conversations are allowed in my book.

BryTri4ce W. try not to double post in the future.... neospawn chuck-e-cheezes is like.... um... well.... it's like an arcade with a large climbing structure, like the ones at mc'donalds, and these animatronic.... how do you spell that?.... anyway animatronic stuffed animals that perform on stage every half hour. they also sell pizza that as far as I can tell is made from ABS plastic.

okay, as much as i love going down memory lame : ), no one has said anything about the borg for awhile. so sometime before next weekend this discussion will be closed down. feel free to continue talking about cheep arcade venues on the general discussion topic.

Quoting Xiazeran .

Yeah it's american. The mascot is an anthropomorphic mouse donned in 90's Skater getup that sings (not very well, either). And they serve pizza and have something that one might call an arcade.

strange.....thanks anyway xiazeran

Alright, final post here, I say that borg are wel... cyborgs rather than a humanoid wearing a hardsuit.

on a side note, the climby thing at chuck-e-cheezes is not a hardsuit... the mouse suit the guy walk around in however is another story.
